Chapter 9

-1 month after last chapter-

Toni's POV
It's been a month since and Cheryl's first official date. We've gone on 4 dates since, once a week. I honestly don't know what we are, but I'm happy with whatever it is.

Right now I'm sitting at pops. I hear the door open and look up. I see Cheryl walk in with a couple serpents. She looks at me and smiles.

I wave at her. She says something to them before walking over and sliding in the booth opposite to me. "Hey T."

I smile. "Hey. What's up?" I bite my lip looking at her.

Cheryl smiles. "Nothing. I just came here with a couple serpents." She nods her head over to them.

I nod. "Yeah I noticed. I don't want to keep you from them though."

Cheryl rolls her eyes. "I came over here, remember." I chuckle and nods.

"Yeah... is are we still on for our date tonight?" I ask. Cheryl smiles widely.

"Definitely. Don't forget I'm picking you up and paying this time." She winks. I giggle.

"Ugh I know and I hate it." I say, pouting. Cheryl laughs and kisses her cheek.

Me and Cheryl haven't actually kissed yet. I'm too nervous to, and I can tell Cheryl is too. I look at her and smile. "Okay I get you all night. Go see your friends." I kiss her cheek.

Cheryl nods. "Alright. Bye." she kisses my temple and then goes over to her friends. I feel my phone buzz and see it's Jughead.

Jug
Hey Toni.
Me and the guys
are all hanging out
tonight. Wanna come

Toni
I can't. Date with Cheryl

Jug
Again 🙄
What happened
to you Topaz? You
used to hate the serpents.
You're not one of us anymore

Toni
Get over it jug.
I'm so going out
with her. I like her
a lot. Deal with it

Jug
Whatever. Don't
bother to talk to me
or the guys. Have fun with
your snake.

I put my phone away and groan. I glance over at Cheryl. She smiles at me before turning back to her friends.

I look at my book and start reading again. After a bit I hear someone sit across from me. I look up and see Cheryl's friend Archie.

"Uh hi." I smile nervously. Cheryl and Archie are best friends. Archie is like her brother, and super strong. You definitely don't want to get on his bad side.

Archie smiles. "No need to be nervous. I just finally wanted to talk to the person that makes Cher so happy."

I smile, glad I make her happy. Archie looks me up and down. "So I'm sure you know I'm like Cheryl's brother. That means you hurt you have to deal with me. Now I don't think you'd hurt her, but if you do you're going to have to deal with all the serpents. Understand?"

I nod nervous. Cheryl rushes over and looks at Archie. "Stop scaring her." She smiles at me.

"He wasn't. Just giving me the typical 'you hurt her I hurt you' speech." I smile.

Cheryl rolls her eyes. "I told you to stop doing that Arch." Archie laughs.

"Sorry Cher. Sorry Toni." He says. I smile.

"It's okay. You didn't really scare me anyways. I've seen how soft you can get." Archie rolls his eyes playfully at me.

Cheryl smiles. "alright well we gotta go. I'll see you later TT." She kisses my cheek before her and Archie, along with the other serpents, leave pops.

A/N so that was kinda just a filler chapter. The date will be next chapter. It was gonna be this one but I felt like I should get something out so date next chapter
