Strawberry Milkshake

Chapter 7

Cheryl's POV
I walk into school on Monday, my head held high. I walk to my locker and get my stuff. I catch Toni's eye and see her walking over to me. I smirk, waiting.

Toni stops. "Uh hey. Can we talk?" She asks.

I nod. "We're talking now. What's up Topaz?" I ask, smirking.

Toni bites her lip. "What was that at the party? You... you kissed me and then left me." She says, whispering the last part.

I bite my lip. "Well it was a kiss."

Toni rolls her eyes playfully. "Can I take you out tonight? Pops after school."

I pretend to think for a second. "Sure. Meet me there. See you." I wink and walk away.

- after school -

I sit in a booth waiting for Toni. I take a sip of my chocolate milkshake. I see Toni walk in and wave.

Toni walks over and smiles. "Hey... so um... what exactly is this?"

I bite my lip. "Whatever you want it to be. I assumed it was a date though?" I smirk.

Toni smiles and nods. "Then a date it is." I smile. Me and Toni talk for a while until it starts to get dark.

"Alright it's getting late. I gotta head home. Call me." I pay for our drinks and wink.

I go out to my car and drive home.

- next day at school -

I walk into school and find Toni standing by my locker on her phone. I walk over and smirk. "Hey Topaz."

Toni looks up from her phone and smiles. "Hey Cher."

I look her up and down. She's wearing ripped jeans, a red crop top and a flannel. I smirk. "Damn. Seems I'm rubbing off on you." I wink

Toni rolls her eyes. "Shut up Blossom." She moves so I can get into my locker. I get my stuff.

Toni bites her lip and smiles. "Hey so um... can I take you out again? This weekend? Proper date this time. Not just pops."

I smile and nods. "Sure TT." I kiss her cheek. "Now let's get to class." We walk to class together.

All day I think about the weekend. I'm so excited.
