"Poland!"
"Japan."
Poland turned around just in time to be tackled by his girlfriend of two months, Japan. They'd been going out since October, and it was of course getting to be that time of the year.
Japan smothered Poland's cheeks in kisses, stopping to nuzzle his neck. He smiled softly as she purred, enjoying the vibration and comforting sound.
They were a rather unlikely couple, he knew. Poland was usually rather sharp-tongued and sarcastic, while Japan was very bubbly and friendly. Nobody, I mean nobody, expected them to get together. But he supposed he had America to blame for this. The shades-wearing country was Japan's best friend. After he and Russia got together, Japan decided it was okay to give him some space to be with his partner.
So, she started talking to Poland, because of a small issue concerning some airport malfunctions. It started out small, with them mostly discussing relations and economy, until Japan was suddenly intrigued with the idea to sightsee in Poland(probably because his pride caused him to talk it up so much). Acting as her tour guide allowed the two to become even closer. From then on, it was just them being great friends, getting along and popping in on each other whenever.
Until Japan eventually asked him out.Fast forward a couple dates, and here they are. Five days till Christmas, and America had her all hyped up for some festive fun. But there was one idea in particular she definitely wanted to try.
"Poland~" she started sweetly, "can you go out and buy some groceries for dinner? Whatever you want, and I'll help you cook when you get back. Okay?"
And when she batted those pretty lashes, who was Poland to deny her? Honestly, she could probably kill someone and he'd still fall for those eyes. Those glowing purple eyes. Those long lashes that never failed to brush her cheeks when she closed her eyes.
Once he was gone, Japan giggled to herself, running to her bedroom and rummaging through her closet until she found a white box, tied with a red satin ribbon.
She dropped it unceremoniously on her bed, and done on to the covers next to it, careful not to squash her surprise. Leaning over the bed to grab her phone, she pulled up her most recent text conversation, with America and South Korea.

Japan dropped her phone to pounce upon the nearly forgotten box. Slim fingers made quick work of the bow, and lifted the lid to reveal her surprise.
It was a red and white dress, Santa themed of course. Shoulderless, a black belt with a buckle, and fuzzy white trimming at the end of the dress and sleeves. Along with the dress, was a white faux fur cover, like a cloak without a cape, that connected in the middle by red string.
When she put it on, the dress ended high above mid-thigh. She wrapped the cover over her shoulders, and pulled on a pair of black thigh high boots.
And finally, the last piece.A headband from which mistletoe hung from a wire.
She quickly snapped a picture of herself in the mirror and sent it to her besties. Before she could receive their comments on the outfit, her attention was brought to the sound of a door opening and closing and bags crinklings as they were hustled through the door and into the kitchen.
"Japan! I'm home! Are you in the bedroom?"
"Y-yeah! I'll be out in a minute, babe!"
She quickly swept up the box and paper on the bed and stuffed it in the closet, forgetting about the trash can right there.
She pressed an ear to the door of the room, and heard what sounded like Poland prepping to cook dinner.Quietly and oh so slowly, she turned the doorknob, and pushed it open. Her head poked out first, and saw Poland's back to her from the kitchen, his wings hanging just as elegantly from his back as always.
She stepped lightly, even in heels, making her way over to him. Once she was right behind him, she sounded her arms around his waist and hugged him, nuzzling his neck. She was already about an inch taller than him, so the boots only increased her height, so she could kind of peak over his head to see him taking out groceries.
"Hello honeyyy~" she purred, nuzzling the back of his head with her face.
"Is it me, or are you taller?"
"Maybe it's you. Maybe I am~"
He hummed lightly and she angked her head so the mistletoe that hung from her head dangled in front of him, brushing his forhead.
"What the..." he looked up at it and twirled around in Japan's embrace to see her, looking up first.
"Wow Japan, nice."
She giggled.
He looked down.
"Wow."
She smirked, purring more, wrapping her arms around his neck now. He leaned forward so his chin rested below her collarbone right above her chest.
"We're under the mistletoe. Wanna give me a kiss?"
"I want to give you so much more than that~" he replied, smirking back at her before pushing his lips onto hers.
She gave a small "mrow" of delight, closing her arms more around his neck, and pressing up against his more.
They never really got around to making dinner.
