i heard my bedroom door open, and saw a brief silhouette of a tall figure coming behind me. as soon as i turned around, i was attacked by my grandpa's tickling.
i was laughing maniacly, and he stopped. what a way to wake me up. still out of breath, I said with a wide smile: "come on, i'm not a small child anymore!"
he grinned, before he glanced up, as if he trying to remember something. then he seemed to remember it and exclaimed, with a confused look: "oh, there's a boy at our front door, he claims to be your friend, and he said that you'd go with him and find a flying bison."
i was confused for a second, like I didn't meet sokka just yesterday, but I quickly got what he said and started getting ready to help the boy from the water tribe, again.
i jumped down the stairs, greeting sokka, who was leaning onto the frame of our front door, smiling.
"i really didn't think you'd actually believe my words, but oh well. let's go!" i jokingly said as i put on my old, muddy shoes. man, i really needed to get new ones.
we went outside as he was telling me his ideas on how to find the bison. he then said that i'd meet his friends and his sister, since he was searching for the bison, appa, with them.
i was excited, mainly because I like meeting new people, and because you rarely see fresh meat around here, since the wall is parting the city from the rest of the world.
"there they are!", he said, pointing at his friend group. i raised my hand and waved at them, the two younger ones waved back, while the one that looked pretty similar to sokka gave me a snarky glance and looked to the side.
"Y/N - katara, toph and aang'', he introduced them to me,''katara, toph, aang - Y/N."
oh so her name is katara huh.
she had a suspicious look on her face. based on the brief few minutes of knowing her, I didn't like her. thinking it was because she was awkward around new people, i just shrugged it off and smiled: "hey!"
toph and aang grinned and exchanged genuine looks, but then kept quiet. it was rather awkard silence, so i decided to break the ice and speak first.
"i've heard you've uh...lost your bison? i think i could help you find it, i'm pretty well oriented here, heh."
just as I said that, Aang's gaze shifted down to the floor. I guess the bison really means a lot to him.
"but don't worry, you're gonna find him!''i continued, as the snarky water girl interrupted me: "are you a bender?"
'oh i'll bend your neck and snap it in half-'
"well actually yeah! I can earthbend a-" i shut up all of a sudden, almost revealing that i'm a firebender.
