𝐓𝐖𝐎, sokka + zuko

eleven - welcome to the gaang, zuko.

1st P.O.V.

''Are we there yet? I don't know about the rest of you, but I feel like dying is a really good option right now'', i said, getting a few stares from the people here.

It was silent, and we were all craving some food and sleep. We were all exhausted.

...

''We're here!'', Aang shouted out of nowhere.

He was right, well at least it looked like he was to us earthbenders. The rest could just see an abyss full of nothing.

We got on Appa, who regained some energy after walking instead of flying, and flew down into the Western Air Temple.

The place was stunning to look at, and everything seemed so peaceful.

We got our stuff, and Aang showed us the bedrooms.

Once we've got comfortable, Aang, Sokka, Katara, Toph and I sat down near the fountain to talk. The rest just went to explore.

''We need to find Aang a firebending teacher.''

Everyone looked at me as Katara said that, so i responded:

''Don't look at me, I barely taught myself the basics, and Aang is the Avatar, he needs much more than that.''

''Well you could at least teach him the basics, he could master the rest himself, even though it sounds nearly impossible'', Toph said as she played with the small meteorite bracelet Sokka gave her.

''Uh...I guess i could try.''

''Great! You two go practice, Sokka and Toph can go and find some food'', Katara said as she waved her hands around like a maniac.

''And what are you going to do Katara?'', I asked, scratching the back of my head.

''I'm going to trim Appa's fur, no one has done it in quite a while now.''

I nodded and instructed Aang to follow me somewhere more quiet, since the rest was just playing.

We walked down some stairway to get to the lower floor of the temple.

''So...as you might know, your bending needs to have a source. I mean, it could be some kind of um... some kind of a...chakra? For an example. I don't really know a lot about this stuff though.''

Aang just nodded, following what I was saying.

''And... you need to have complete focus, or else the fire could go out of control'', I said as i demonstrated him. I made a small fire in my palm, which gradually increased, to the point it touched the ceiling.

''Uhm...why don't you try it yourself? I'm a terrible teacher, sorry...''

He just nodded again, and did what i said.

He tried, at least.

That trying continued for a good few minutes until he just gave up: ''What the hell? Why can't i make a damn fire? I suck at this...''

''Hey Aang, listen, i told you you need to be calm. And you need a good reason to bend it. It can't be just pure anger.''

''The problem is I don't have one. Besides, what is yours?''

''I don't really know...I could say...seeking for vengeance maybe, i want to avenge my parents, find the reason to my dual bending.''

''You know that revenge and violence are never the answer.''

*sigh*''I do, but-''

''I never knew how and why i got my bending, and it just bugs me a lot. I wanted to ask my parents, but I can't. I thought maybe you could know something about it.''
