1st P.O.V.

It was pretty dark outside. No one to be seen on the streets, everyone probably sleeping. I walked, no, i ran to Gaang's house, to tell them what happened while they were away.

Once i opened the door, i was met with a completly empty living room, that would usually be filled with Sokka's jokes, Toph's and Aang's laughter, and Katara's complaints.

I searched in every corner of the house, but there wasn't a living soul in it. I sighed and sat down, clearly dissapointed. Feeling exhausted, i fell asleep, hoping that they would come soon.

I felt warm. Sun was piercing through the broken window. Just a few more minutes~, i thought to myself as i turned away from the source of light.

A little after that, i felt some vibrations in the ground. There's only one person whose steps could be this loud. Toph. I immediately jumped up, hoping it's actually her. The door slammed open, showing Aang, Sokka and Toph.

I smiled but went dead serious when i realized the reason why i was really here.

''Y/N? What are you doing here? Did Katara invite you to a sleepover or something? Where is she?'', Aang asked nervously.

I stared at them, but then stuttered out: '' K-Katara is not here. Yesterday when we were walking to that new teashop, she suddenly began running towards the palace. Those girls, Kyoshi warriors i think, aren't Kyoshi warriors. One of them is princess Azula. A-and they took Katara. I'm sorry, I couldn't do anything about it. I was helpless.''

I looked down to my feet. Aang came up to me and tapped my shoulder: ''It's alright, it's not your fault. After all, it was 3 on 1.'' Sokka also looked down, and Toph just blankly stared into a wall.

Then we heard a knock on the door. Toph smiled and opened, revealing the owner of Jasmine Dragon. He looked serious.

''They took my nephew. I know they have taken Katara too, so i thought we could work together to save her and Zuko'', he noted, but i was confused for a moment. Isn't Lee his nephew?

''Stop right there, you lost me at 'Zuko'.'', Sokka stated, clearly annoyed by the Fire Nation Prince.

I sighed and said: ''But if we are getting Katara back, we can't just leave the prince to rot in there, it wouldn't be fair...''

After a small argument, we all agreed and went to search for the Crystal Catacombs of Ba Sing Se, which were deep down in the ground.

I went with Aang and Iroh. They were talking, and i just quietly slid rocks away from us. When we finally broke the last rock down, we were met with two pairs of eyes.

It was Katara and...Lee? Didn't Iroh say that Zuko is trapped? Wait...don't tell me... But he couldn't be, he's been nice to me since i've met him, it's impossible that he is the Fire Nation's prince.

But then again, everything made sense. The scar, the way he reacted when i mentioned Aang, everything just fit in perfectly now. But there was good in him. I knew it.

...

Maybe i was wrong.

Azula came in, almost blowing us all up. I made an earth wall that divided everyone else from Azula. She held a speech about her lovely brother, Zuko.

I fought all the Dai Lee in the back while Aang and Katara went against Azula and Zuko. Zuko. He dissapointed me. I actually was wrong.

I lost almost all hope when Azula blasted Aang onto the crystal wall, but that tiny bit that left still knew that he would come back even stronger.

Katara fought Zuko, letting all her anger out on him. I looked at him with disgust, the same way he looked at Jet back then.

Aang then distanced himself from others. From what i could sense, he was meditating. Focusing. He was trying to get into the Avatar State. I smiled, knowing that he is invincible when he is in that state.

He rose up in the air, his eyes white, his tattoos glowing.

Then a lightning struck him. He began falling down at a rapid speed. Katara catched his lifeless body, as i carelessly crushed everything and everyone in front of me as I ran towards them. Katara tightly held him in her arms, and the three of us climbed up to the palace.

I took one last look at Zuko, both terrified and disgusted by who he really is. A monster.

~~~~~~
We sat on Appa, hopelessly looking at Aang. He looked dead, just dead.
The Avatar is dead.
A tear slid down my cheek as I thought that. He couldn't be dead. Not when the world needs him the most.
Katara looked down to her necklace, taking it off. She took the water out of it and bent it towards Aang.
His arrows lit up and his eyes opened. It was like a miracle. He smiled before he fainted again, but this time not forever. He was breathing.
I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around to see Sokka grinning at me. I smiled back and put my hand on his shoulder. Both of us looked up to the sky, knowing that in fact, Fire Nation has won only the battle, but not the war.
