i dragged myself down the street, into the lower ring. i overheard there's a pretty good teashop in there, so being the curious cat I am, I went to check it out.
as I walked in the little modest tea shop, I heard someone yelling: "everyone, he is a firebender! take him away!"
i turned around to se a guy with two crowbars attacking a boy with an apron who probably worked in the teashop.
the crowbar dude, supposedly named jet, was struggling in the grip of the ba sing se soldiers, still claiming that the boy is a firebender. the 'firebender' looked at jet in disgust, and turned around, back to the shop.
finally, I sat down, waiting to order that famous tea. the boy I mentioned earlier came up waltzing to my table, asking what i'm going to order.
lost in my thoughts, I said: "that must've felt uncomfortable, someone claiming that you are something you clearly aren't.''
the boy looked at me, confused: ''huh? oh, yeah, it was.''
"by the way, i never came here before, so i don't quite know the menu. make me your favorite one!", I smiled as i looked up to him.
"sure thing, i'll be right back", he said, then rushed off to the kitchen.
i sat in peace until he came back, with a rose on the tray, and an old man behind him, winking at him.
"here it is, my uncle made the recipe for this one, so it's kinda special", he sat down in the seat opposite to mine and put the tray down on the table.
there was an awkwardly awkward silence between us, so i decided to break it: "so...I'm Y/N."
"zu-'' he shushed himself for a moment,'' lee, i'm lee."
"okaaaaay- so, are you running away from the fire nation? I didn't see you before, and i usually hang around here."
He looked at me with a stern look and responded with a simlpe raspy: ''yeah''. "i mean, not all people in the fire nation are bad! It's just that the bad shows...uh...more than good.", i spat out, giving him the close eyed smile.
he just smiled, and trust me, that smile would end the 100 year war in an instant .
