1st P.O.V.

We were stuck in the same square we were a few days ago, but this time, some rich dude was holding a speech about the Fire Nation royal family.

Lee was sitting somewhere closer to the front, while i leaned onto a stone wall and said: ''This is so boring...Do i actually have to be here?''

''I ask myself the same thing all the time''

I turned around towards the source of that voice, and saw a long haired girl, with feathers in her hair.

It immediately reminded me of that silhouette i saw a night ago and i jumped back, startled.

''Who the heck are you?'' I asked, holding onto a small dagger in my backpocket, ready to attack.

''Call me Phoenix. And as far as i know, you're Y/N.''

''How do you know who i am? Were you stalking me? And how do you know my actual name?'', I whisper-shouted, not wanting to disturb the speech. This time, I pulled the dagger out, ready to defend myself.

''Hey, calm down, I'm not here to kill you.'', she exclaimed in a calm manner, pulling her hand out of her pocket and reaching out to mine.

I put the dagger back in my pocket and shaked her hand.

''I still don't understand...who are you and how do you who I am?'', i asked her.

''Come with me.''

''Yeah sure, i'm obviously going to follow a complete stranger. Are you going to send me in The Boiling Rock or something?''

''Actually'', the chick called Phoenix said while pulling out a flask,''No.''

She made a weird motion with her hand, and the water magically floated in the air. Ok, not really magically, she is a waterbender. Wait. A waterbender?

I stood there, my jaw on the floor when Phoenix said: ''Will you follow me now?''

''I...guess...''

She took the lead and went somewhere close the borders of the city. As I walked behind her, she suddenly stopped and i bumped into her back.

''We're here'', she said, grinning at me.
''Here? All i see is an empty door frame and something that is supposed to be a house. God, whoever lives here must be broke just like me.''

''This is my house.'', she replied.

I coughed, and apologized a million times.

''It's alright, just get in''

When we came in, i saw a bunch of paintings spread on her table. They all seemed familiar in some way.

I noticed a painting and two little girls on it. The first girl wore a silky Earth Kingdom dress, while the other girl had a Northern Water Tribe dress, and feathers in her hair.

They were both grinning and playing with a leather ball. That ball had a recognizable emblem on it.

When i took a closer look, it all pieced together.

''I remember this...we were constantly moving and the artist couldn't make us stand still...'', i said, grinning at her with the same smile that i had on the painting.

She chuckled and sat down.

''A lot has happened while we weren't in touch'', she said, holding up a wanted poster.

I facepalmed: ''Why don't i tell you everything.''

''So you're telling me you joined the Avatar, befriended the Fire Nation prince not knowing who he really is, fought against Princess Azula and Zuko, watched The Avatar die, watched the Avatar come back to life, lost his trust and got here with some fire soldiers?'', she asked after i told her everything.
