Lloyd's POV

I was half awake but mostly asleep. I reached over to hold Y/n close to me. When I got her, I pulled her close. She seems squishier and smaller in bed than I remember... wait a sec- I opened my eyes and looked at what I was clinging to. It was a pillow, more specifically, her pillow. My spine ran cold and a huge wave of worry crashed onto me. I jumped out of bed and threw some shoes on. I used my spinjistu to change into my ninja gi while running out my room to the kitchen. Her shoes are gone. My heart sank, I felt heavy and i couldn't breathe. Did she just walk out? Or did- no. Nonononono! D/n could not have taken her! I went out onto the deck of the Bounty to look for more clues. Her phone. She left her phone on the Bounty. She knew i would track her if she brought it with her. I went to her phone and turned it on. There was a message on the lock screen.

Lloyd,

If you're reading this then you already know that I'm not there. I snuck out so I could talk to Ivy. There were a lot of things that I need straightened out. I haven't told you yet because nor did I not know how, but I didn't understand it either. I either haven't returned yet or something happened. Please Lloyd, give me til midnight to come back. If I'm not back on the Bounty in your arms by then, something has happened and I need you to find me. The meeting spot with Ivy was Central Park. The discussion shouldn't take long at all. All I'm asking is for you to trust me to come back by midnight. Again, if I'm not you can look for me then. I'll be fine, I promise, and I'll explain everything when I come back. I love you, Lloyd. I knew her wanting to go to bed early sounded suspicious. I checked the time on her lock screen.

11:46pm

It's only 14 minutes til midnight. She obviously isn't back yet. What if she's in trouble? No, she said to trust her and not worry until midnight. What if it's too late by the time I find her? No, she said to trust her. I'll wait til midnight like she wants. What if she never comes back because I didn't make it in time? I really hate my mind sometimes. Okay, we'll compromise. When its 10 minutes before midnight I'll wait on the roof. When it gets closer to midnight, I'll get closer to the city to see if she's running late. That way when it hits midnight, I'll have a bit of a head start. Sounds like a plan. I really hope you're okay, Y/n...

Y/n's POV

Now, how am I going to draw attention to dad so I can finally get rid of this curse? It was the question bouncing off the walls of my mind since I left Ivy. I looked around at the city lights and the night sky. I smiled lightly, content with the scenery. I could see the Bounty in my vision clearly. I'm about 5 blocks away. I'll make it back before midnight, hoping that Lloyd hasn't woken up yet or worse left already to try and find me. I know he would only do that because he cares. That's just his nature and I love that about him. While crossing the street, I got a really strange feeling that someone was following me. Watching me. I swear to god if D/n is out to get me again, I will murder him myself! I turned around and saw a dark figure leaning against a building watching me. I looked at my palms, they were drenched in my own blood and so were my nails. It looked disgusting. But the deep cackling made me forget about my gross palms because I dug my nails into my palms once more. I'm really really tired of this!
