Lloyd's POV

I woke up a little late the next morning. I felt very weird, did I eat something strange? I scratched the top of my head in confusion. What was in that cupcake? I stood up from my bed and realized Y/n wasn't there. Maybe she woke up early to train? I shrugged and got dressed. When I was done getting dressed I furrowed my brows. The Bounty seems eerily quiet. I walked out of my room and into the living room where everyone was sitting. They all looked upset and devastated. I searched the crowd for a certain h/c, but nowhere. My mother catches my stare, she was crying. Uh, what happened? Where's Y/n?

They all noticed me in the kitchen and came in. Dr. Yuri and the Commissioner were among my parents, Sensei, and the other ninja. Everyone was crying except for my father and Wu. They kept looking at the ground with an agonized expression. Okay seriously, what the hell happened?

"Lloyd..." my mother began speaking in a tiny sob. A tear escaped her eye.

"Mom? What happened? Why's everyone upset? Where's Y/n?" I asked while exchanging gazes with everyone. My mom began sobbing into my father's arms. Nya was sobbing into Jay. Dr. Yuri was crying too. Why are they here?

"Lloyd, there's something you need to know..." The Commissioner began but trailed off. I furrowed my brows and clenched my fists.

"Guys! What's going on??? Where's Y/n???" I asked more frantically and impatiently. The Commissioner sighed.

"I can't break it to him guys, I just can't..." he said while covering his face. Wu sighed and made eye contact with me.

"Lloyd, it's about Y/n..." Sensei began, he paused to breath and try not to cry.

"Where is she? Where's my love, my girl? Where's Y/n???" I asked trying to get an answer out of someone.

"She's gone, Lloyd. We just found out this morning." Zane broke the news to me. My breathing got very heavy as I took a step back. I shook my head intensely in disbelief. Y/n is dead? No! Nonono! She can't be! She was alive and perfectly fine yesterday!!

"No! That's not true! She's not gone! Stop lying, where is she really???" I asked in disbelief and hope that it is all lie. They all exchanged looks with each other and looked at the ground with pained looks across their faces. My eyes started tearing up, my heart felt like it was about to shatter, and my stomach was doing somersaults.

"Lloyd, stop! Y/n is dead! She's not coming back!" Cole yelled at me with a sob. He covered his mouth to hide his cries. A few tears starting sliding down my cheeks.

"I-I-I don't understand-" I stuttered while shaking my head. The Commissioner sighed, bringing my attention to him.

"We found her and two others dead at the old warehouse on the edge of the city. When we took them to the morgue, we found out it was her biological parents that were killed along with her." He explained while gesticulating his words. More tears streamed down my face. This can't be true. Y/n can't be gone, she was safe here.

"I don't believe it." I mumbled while pushing my hair out of my face aggressively.

"They'll explain more when you're in a better state of mind, but for right now I suggest you get your grieving on." The commissioner said while leaving the Bounty. Everyone watched him leave and then turned their attention back to me. I felt sick to my stomach, my throat was in pain from all the cries and tears I'm trying to hold back, and my head hurts from all my unanswered questions.
