In the near future, due to full automation, global catastrophes and pandemics, the existing system of the world has collapsed. Countries have isolated themselves and closed their borders, institutions of society such as religion and family have lost their power, the sphere of entertainment and tourism has declined, and education has completely switched to an online format, becoming a privilege for people with the highest intellectual indicators.
People have been divided into two classes: those who have a place in the real world - the ruling elite, scientists, medical workers, and the rest of the population - those whose labor and intellectual power has become unnecessary, because almost everything has been replaced by machines and artificial intelligence.
The world has split into real and virtual.
The state supplied people with a limited amount of food and antidepressants, divided into sixteen categories corresponding to sixteen personality types, and in order to regulate the human mind and suppress protest, "Elysium" was created.
Elysium - is a way of escapism, distraction from reality, suppression of true desires, the opportunity to feel happiness and euphoria in conditions of self-isolation .
It was a next-generation metaverse, a real-life simulation. The process of complete immersion in virtual reality took place by blocking the information that came to the brain from the five senses. The interception of signals from the brain to the body and the replacement of these signals with "artificial" ones were computer generated. The players put on a brain-affecting choker that transported them to a server with thousands of locations created by developers and players around the world.
In "Elysium" there is no whole space, every location has its own way of entering through the server, so the possibility of free movement is limited. In order to get to a random location, it is necessary to re-place the server and pick location from randomly offered rooms.
There is an incalculable number of locations in the metaverse - endless possibilities for creation. Here, every desire could be translated into reality, albeit virtual.Any player can find a place to their liking and leave it when they get bored.
There is two types of locations - Charoom and Event-Live.
Chatroom is a variety of rooms without a specific purpose. The players simply hang out with each other, spend time together or alone, discover new places for themselves. A chatroom can be anything - a club, a bar, a school, a beach, a forest, a street. Often these were the copies of real places and cities before the division of the whole world. The chatroom can be both interior and exterior.
A variety of scenery is used, and everyone can do whatever they want. Complete freedom of action. The rooms can look close to reality (as listed above), but also there are a lot of fantasy rooms, for example, there was a location where you could experience the feeling of flying, create primitive magic, walk on the surface of water, and do many other magical things. These type of locations are higher in rate than close-to-reality ones.
