"Are you alright?"

Am I alright? I don't know. How someone can be alright when the Crush-yes, with a capital 'C'-is standing in front of your doorstep? How you are supposed to act? Act as the way you are.

"I am. Alright, that is."

"Okay."

Silence greets us. His eyes looking at me and I'm doing the same. It doesn't feel weird, actually. It's like he wants me to see him.

"Oh, I work in the cafe and yesterday I saw you when you were leaving..."

Okay. I'm getting chills that he remembered me from yesterday. But where he is going with this? And he is explaining to me that he works there like I wouldn't remember. Abhimanyu Sarthak, you don't know anything about me.

"I'm here to return this to you ." He takes out a key. A key? He is here to give me a freaking key? I look closely at it. Oh, it's my key which I lost last night. It might have fallen out when I ran to my car, escaping him and his waiter friend.

"Tarun, I asked you to have the key, right?" My mom yells from the room. Abhimanyu hears it too. I snatch the key from his hands, giving him a rueful grin. He grins seeing that he came at the perfect timing and saved me.

"Yeah, mom. I have." I yell back.

"So, you're going to school." He asked me, and it was more like he was telling me, not asking. I don't understand how did he know where I live? And he even knows that I'm going to school. Strangers don't ask these questions. I'm practically a stranger to him.

"I am." I said.

"Okay, and I wanted to say something else." Oh god.

"What a knife was doing in Paras' room?" Mom walks to the living room, holding the same knife and see me. Us.

"Oh." She said. Good job mom. Perfect timing. Now I can't know what Abhimanyu was going to say.

"Hello, Mrs Joshi." Abhimanyu said, bowing his head a little, to my mom when she comes to stand behind me.

I don't know what is happening? He knows our last name. That means I'm not a stranger to him. That means he knows me. He was avoiding me all this time. But why? Because just two seconds ago he was telling me 'I work at the cafe' like I don't know him and now this?

I look at him, narrowing my eyes, to let him know I've got a lot of questions. He notices the look on my face. Now, he knows he gotta explain a lot of things to me.

"Hello, sorry, do I know you?" My mom said, her eyes flicker to me. Same mom, same. I don't even know how he knows us, because I never talked to him before yesterday.

"No ma'am, but Tarun knows me, I'm a friend of him." This is the first time I'm hearing him say my name.

"I know all of his friends, but Tarun never told me about you." She said.
