"What? You're leaving for Australia tomorrow?" I say out loud.

Mahima, Anna, Praful and I are sitting on my bed. Graham's using my study table. Notebooks are in front of us. We have been studying almost for an hour now. I knew Praful would have to go back but I didn't think It'll be happening this early. It's just a week she came here and already going? Who travels this far for a week? Apparently, Praful does.

"Yes. I'm leaving at 2 p.m. tomorrow." She says. Mahima knew about it, maybe everyone did. But Praful actually forget to tell me.

She is staying with Mahima all this time, that I know. And when we decided to study at my place, we called her to join us.

"Uh huh." She says in such a casual way. I guess, I'm just over thinking about this.

But this is fully unexpected. I thought she would stay for like a month. I know, we didn't talk much. Just had few conversations through text messages. she is the first the person who knew about me. And then Abhimanyu, but I ain't counting him on the list. Wait. When did I made a list of people who knew about me? Because no one did, until her. She and I don't have that much of a special connection but it seem to be easy around her. I feel calm with her, this is the thing I realize right now.

I lift my head and looked at my friends. Everyone's busy studying. Mahima trying to solve the practical question while chewing the end of her pen, it's a habit of her that we all know, she does that we she finds something difficult or frustrating. I know I chew my lower lip a lot out of nervousness which, by the way, Abhimanyu told me the other night. I look at Anna. This girl is almost secretive. She is the one who doesn't talk much about herself. We had seen her crying for a boy or getting furious, but that's it. No other emotions. She is hard to read. Although, I'm the one holding on to the biggest secret. But right at this very moment she looks like the one holding. Praful is explaining a para to Anna. She's good at this. My focus isn't on my book anymore. I'm getting to know my friends. More like trying to study them. Graham's on his phone, earphone plugged to his ears. I'm sure he is playing a game.

Praful glances up at me. She raises a brow and urges her head up a little, asking me "What's up." I shake my head. I also notice Mahima capturing our moment. I think she gets the idea of something. Today, she had asked me a lot that why am I being weird lately. I just said "It's nothing." She wasn't convinced by it.

"Hey, guys. I think we should do a get- away party for Praful." Graham turns up his-mine-chair at our direction from the study table. "What do y'all think?" His face all excited on the name of a party.

"So, you're suggesting that we should bunk school tomorrow?" Anna asks.

"I have to reach airport like at noon." Praful adds. "I won't want you guys to bunk school for me." She chuckles.

"We can't bunk over classes. Mrs. Singh's gonna provide us important notes." Mahima says, dismissing the topic.

"Guess, there's no party tomorrow." That's Graham who is thinking about parties, who wants to hang out and not studying properly. But the same person who every time brings good grades than I get.
