Chapter 5: From the very start

Akai's POV

*Flashback*

"Think you can catch me, Bird?!"

"Hey! The name's Phoenix!"

"I don't care, I'll be taking the treasure now, Au Revoir!"

I looked at Joker, who was now on top of his airship, carrying the treasure that was supposed to be mine

I smiled "see you soon, Joker"

I flew off and went back to my house, I transformed back into my human form, which is Akai Tsubasa

The question, who am I?

Ichi, I'm a student at daytime

Ni, I'm an alien

San, I'm the messenger of the southern cross, Phoenix

Anyway, when I opened the door, Acrux jumped into my arms "Hey there, Acrux!" I petted him

"Hosshi! Hosshi!"

"Are you hungry?"

"Hosshi!"

I think that means yes

I transformed back into my Phoenix form and flew out with Acrux in my arms. We flew to....

THE SKY JOKER!!!

I was about to enter-

"Yawning jerk! What are you doing here?!"

I looked to my back, apparently, Joker was in the bathroom when I showed up, cause he had a towel around his waist and...

No clothes

"I-I'll be going-" I was cut off when he grabbed my hand

"I'm not gonna ask you again, what are you doing here?"

"I-I u-um" I couldn't mutter any words, I just froze

I think my face is turning red....

"Whatever, if you're gonna get something, hurry up" he released me and went back to the shower

When he closed the door, I grabbed Acrux and left

Dang it, I didn't get to feed Acrux, why does this happen every time? Well, maybe because I often go to the Sky Joker when it was time for his shower.

I headed back to my house and transformed back into my human form, I saw something silver on top of Acrux

I picked it up and saw that it was a strand of silky silver hair

Hey... I think I know someone who has this kind of hair...

I got my backpack and took out my wallet, I took out a strand of hair from it, which was Jack's hair, which I plucked out of his head when he didn't see, and compared it.

I was right all along...

*End of Flashback*

"Akai? Phoenix? Yawning jerk? Hello? Are you ok?" I was called out by Jack, apparently, I was standing here for 15 minutes while doing my flashback. He grabbed my hand and ran into the school

"C'mon Yawning jerk, we're already late!" He kept pulling me, we both ran as fast as we can, we we're running though the middle school area, since we have to pass this first before we get to the high school buildings, some girls that we passed by were squealing when they saw us

"Girls, look, it's Jack!"

"Gyaaahh! He looks so cute!"

"I hope he's single!"

"I don't think so, look, he's holding hands with that fire head guy!"

"Don't tell me- he's GAY?!"

Wtf?! What are they talking about?

I saw that Jack was holding my hand while we run, I felt like my face was turning red, I looked at Jack, he didn't seem to mind what they were saying, he just ignored them and kept on running

We finally arrived at the front of the classroom, we were about to enter when...

RIIIINNNNGGGG!!!!!

The bell rang, the first period was finished

"Oh, hey Jack, Akai!" King greeted us when he walked out of the room "You're late again, what happened this time-" he cut himself off and looked at us "Oh, I see" he paused for a second "You know, you should just go on a date on the weekends, it's a school day today"
