Jack's POV
*RIIINNNGGGG!!!*
The bell rang, classes were starting, and for the first time, I wasn't late.
"Hey Jack, can we talk later?" King whispered to my ear, I nodded as a respond.
*Time skip, lunch time*
When I was about to leave, King grabbed my hand and brought me to the Janitor's closet.
"Wtf King, why did you brought me here?!" The Janitor's closet was small, I couldn't move well.
"I wanted to talk to you about something, it's about the contest next week" that caught my attention, we have a couple's dance contest here at school.
"I need someone to dance with, could you join me?" He continued.
"W-what?! No way! And besides, it's a boy-girl pair up, why didn't you just ask Queen?"
"Queen was already paired up with Rose. Actually, the rules were changed since only a few girls wanted to join, now you can pair up with anyone you want"
Doing research before acting, typical Spade
"Well, I can't join you, I don't know how to dance" I said, he looked a bit disappointed "But if you want a Joker to dance with, how about asking Cyan?"
His face lit up "Good idea! Thanks!" He hugged me-
"..."
The door suddenly opened, Akai opened it.
"I-I'll just leave you two-" He slowly backed up, but I ran to him and placed my hands on his shoulders
"Akai, don't think of anything dirty" that was the first thing I said to him
"Too late"
"PHOENIX!"
After explaining everything to Akai
"Oh, I get it" he thought for a while "Wait, there's a contest?"
"Yup, and the prize is the fire heart crystal-" I cut Spade off
"Why didn't you tell me?! I'll be your dance partner!"
Spade: *sweatdrop* 😅
"Too late! I already texted Cyan while you were explaining to Akai,he agreed"
Akai's POV
Jack was having a dark, depressed aura.
"I'll be your dance partner! We'll join the contest together!" Wtf am I saying?!
Jack's face lit up "Really? You would do that?"
"U-umm, yes, for a friend" I smiled at him, he smiled at me too.
He's really cute- WTF?!
"Well, I'll be going. I'm gonna go meet up with Cyan to practice" King waved goodbye to us and left
Joker's POV
*Dismissal time*
I went to my car and drove home. When I got there, I changed into my pajamas since I wasn't planning to go on a heist the entire week.
I was lazing around when my phone vibrated

Akai: Hey Joker, meet me tomorrow at my place, we're going to choose our costumes.
Joker: Sure, what time?
Akai: at 2:00 pm
Akai: A girl named "Ruby Reyes" said she wanted to help us
Akai: do you know her?
Joker: No, but I think I heard that name before
Akai: Anyways, let's meet up tomorrow!

"Mr. Joker! Wake up!" Hachi's voice woke me up "Mr. Phoenix has been texting you nonstop for the past hour, I think you should reply"
Hachi gave me my phone, I looked at the messages-

Wait, he's picking me up? When?-

I jumped out of my bed when I saw Phoenix sitting on the floor in front of my bed. He transformed back into his human form then pulled me outside
"Cmon Joker, Ruby's already here!"
I still don't know who's this "Ruby" person is. When we got to the living room, I saw I girl wearing a white polo with a kinda white jacket, black thigh, and a white skirt.
"I'm Ruby Reyes, nice to meet you-" She cut herself off when she saw me "A-Are you Kaitou Jack?!"
I was beyond confused "Umm, yes, that was my Kaitou name when I was a kid"
She froze for a while then her emotion changed from shocked to extremely happy "SENPAI!!" She happily shouted, then gave me a big hug.
