-the next day-

I walk to Haven street and I stop.

What is he doing on Haven street? His eyes make their way to me and a smirk appears on his face. Oh that smirk- I didn't know if I hated it or liked it.

An asshole with a pretty face, no big deal!

"Oh hey Ruel, we live on the same street." Kayla smiles at him but his eyes were locked on my glare.

He found everything so amusing, maybe that's what annoyed me the most of him. His happy, bubbly and charming character.

"Neighbours actually." He turns around and answers Kayla.

I walk up to them and cross my arms.

"Morning Mads!" Bianca spoke.

"Yeah morning Mads!" Ruel says half laughing.

I give him a death stare and roll my eyes.

"Smile sweetheart!" He winks and the girls laugh.

I shoot them both glares and they both stop laughing.

"Chill Madi." Kayla giggles.

-Ruel's POV-

"We are going to be late, we need to take the back way." Kayla suggests.

"The back way?" I question, this town was still so unfamiliar to me.

"I'm not going that way!" Madi bellows.

She must not like that way, I mean does she like anything. Madi Carson she seemed so plain, I bet she's one of those people that probably like plain ass vanilla because they haven't ventured to new things.

She was sour but there was more to her, I could tell by the she talks.

She was sassy and spoke her mind, as cliche as it sounds, she was different. Girls have fallen to my feet at this school already but Madi wasn't interested. Maybe she's lesbian but what a waste that would be because she was undeniably beautiful with jet black hair, piercing green eyes and a petite body frame.

The way she spoke to me heated me and made me want to keep provoking her.

"We have too Mads it's quicker." Bianca looked at her reassuringly.

Her eyes go glassy and she rolls her eyes. Madi Carson rolling her eyes might possibly the hottest thing I've seen. Her perfect shade of green eyes- oh she makes my heart go crazy already.

"Let's just go." I suggest, I wanted to know what's this way that Madi was afraid of.

"Fine." She rolls her eyes again and I smirk. I've barely known her for 2 days and I couldn't get enough of her eye rolling and sassy comments.

We start walking through the back way, I hear her breath hitch and I felt her anxiety levels rise by her fidgeting with her sweater.

"You scared?" I provoke her more.

"As if. I'm not scared of anything!" She says proudly before trying to take a deep breathe unnoticeably.
