Ruel Van Dijk charming and reckless.
She has one fear, water, she thought but what happens when losing him is her biggest one yet to come.
For the longest moments we simply stare at each other, absorbing everything that's just happened. I wasn't able to do anything except drown in his intoxicating smell.
"I better go home, it's getting late." I say while sitting up.
"I'll walk you." He smiles and gets out of bed.
-the next day-
I walk to Haven street to meet the girls and Ruel but as I approach Haven street, I notice only two people waiting there for me.
"Where's Ruel?" I ask.
"I don't know." Bianca shrugs.
I pull out my phone and call him.
"Good morning Princess." He says cheerfully.
"Hey where are you?" I ask.
"Well dear I'm at the hospital." He replies.
"What? Did something happen?" I say concern.
"No no- I'm getting information about chemo today. I might not be able to go to school." He says a little annoyed.
"That's fine as long you'll be alright. Plus I can always see you at home." I smile.
"Yeah about that- I have to stay here, chemo goes for a couple months if it's successful. I'm going to be here with grace." He chuckles.
"Well alrighty than mister I'll have to visit you at the hospital." I start walking and giggle.
"Can't wait- I have to go but I'll see you later at school. I love you." He says.
"i love love you." I giggle.
"I love love loveeeee you." He chuckles.
"I love love lov-"
"No stop it lovebirds." Kayla and Bianca laugh.
"See you later princess." He laughs.
He hangs up and I walk to school with the girls.
"Mads you are so smiley." Kayla looks at me suspiciously.
"My life is just so perfect right now, I have the best bestfriends and I have a really really amazing boyfriend." I smile.
"Wait official now? I'm so happy for you." Bianca hugs me.
"Thankyou-I love you guys." I hug them back.
-afterschool-
Ruel didn't show up to school. I decide to go to Ruel's house. Before I knocked on the door, it's opens, oh thankgod he's here.
"Just the person I'm was going to see." He smiles at me.
"Oh really? I wonder why?" I smirk.
"Well I wanted to see my beautiful girlfriend- I missed your pretty face all day." He says.
"Stop- you complimented me twice at once." I start blushing.
He certainly knew how to make my cheeks burn.
"I can try for three if you want-" he smirks.
"You are so- so amazing." I say about to call him goofy but then amazing slipped out.
I start to feel my eyes glass over, I hated the thought that he needs chemo to just survive- he's relying- I'm relying on that to let him be with me forever. I have to stay strong for him, just sucks that thought of ever losing him.
"Aw look who's complimenting." He jokes.
"Why didn't you come back to school?" I laugh.
"Well it took longer at the hospital, so I decided I should skip coming to school and instead plan a surprise date." He smirks.
"You shouldn't have-"
"Who says it's for you... I'm kidding." He laughs.
"I was going to say- bum hole." I playfully slap him chest.
He laughs and wraps his arm around me.
"Now follow me-" he says.
I nod and we start walking. He stops and I look at him.
"Sorry princess but you are going to be blindfolded." He says.
"Really? I'll close my eyes and promise not to peek." I smile playfully.
"No mi amor." He smirks.
"I have no idea what that means but Spanish class is paying off huh." I giggle.
"Yes it is, now blindfolding time." He laughs.
I shake my head at him and he wraps a scarf around my eyes. I try reach for his hands instead I feel a soft kiss against my lips.
"Another." I squeal like a little kid.
I hear his soft laugh before he placed another soft kiss against my lips.
"One more?" I tease.
"Really?." He laughs.
"Just know I'm doing puppy dog eyes." I pout.
"I can't say no." He kisses me again.
I laugh and he holds my hand. We walk a little further before my blindfold untied.
"Da duh." He exclaims.
I look around, we were at the creek we past when we take a shortcut to school. There was a little row boat on the shore.

"Let's go in." He pulls me over.
I step into it and sit down and Ruel gives it a little push and jumps in.
"This is so scary yet so exciting." I say.
"You'll be fine with me." He reassures.
"I know I will." I smile and lay against his chest.
We laid there for what seemed like forever, enjoying every moment, we talked and drank hot chocolate.
"Ruel how do you feel?" I ask.
"About you?" He says confused.
"No about cancer and everything that's going to happen." I breathe out.
