She has one fear, water, she thought but what happens when losing him is her biggest one yet to come.
I couldn't believe my ears. This all has to be bullshit. Ruel wouldn't say that and neither would Kayla do that to me but she did say for me not to come talk to her. No it can't be-
I walk back over to the girls.
"What did she say?" Kayla says very interested.
"Nothing important." I start walking to class.
I avoided Kayla all class. I was thinking- Kayla has been my bestfriend forever, she wouldn't do this- yes she's desperate but- god is what am I thinking I need to ask him.
-afterschool-
I wait at Ruel's locker and after 5 minutes he starts walking over. He sees me and smiles.
"You didn't answer my messages missy." He chuckles.
"Sorry." I reply.
"I'm kidding- Kayla told me you just slept in." He packs his textbooks into his locker.
"Oh really?" I spit out.
"Yea..." he awkwardly responds.
"I need to talk to you." I nod.
"Of course- is something wrong?" He reaches for my hand but I pull them beside me.
He looked down at my hands then me. We start walking.
"So what's wrong?" He asks.
"I'm going to be straight forward here- are you in love with Kayla and did you kiss her?" I blurt.
"Woah woah- who told you this?" His eyes widen.
"Just answer me. Did you kiss Kayla?" I ask again.
"What the fuck Madi?!" I hear Kayla behind me.
I turn around and she had her arms crossed.
"Well will one of your give me a straight forward answer?!" I snap.
"Fuck you Madi! Why would I do that?!" Kayla snaps back.
"Because you are desperate!" I say in retaliation.
"I hate you!" She storms off.
"I don't car-"
"Madi no- I didn't kiss Kayla and yes I love Kayla but just as a friend. But it's sad you'd think we'd do this to you." He sighs and walks ahead.
What have I done? I should have known- they wouldn't do that to me. I just so jealous by the thought of Ruel liking someone else, I didn't even consider that she's my bestfriend and would never do that. And Ruel he isn't that guy. Way to go Madi!
It's all Haley's fault. I'm going to murder her. I walk home and lay in bed. I need to fix this- I get up and get dressed.
