"Madi? Madi!" I walked into Ruel calling out my name repeatedly.

"I'm here Ruel!" I walk besides him.

"Can I speak to her alone?" He looks at everyone.

They all nod and walk out.

"What is it Ruel?" I ask.

"Madi I can feel myself dying, I can't catch certain breaths of air- just listen to me. I love you- and I would have continued loving you and I will love you even when I'm up there or down there if I've been a bad boy." He chuckles half way before coughing.

I start crying. The amusement he used to cover situations he couldn't handle.

"Just remind our baby that I love him or her. I know you will be a great mother- I'm sorry I had to leave so soon. Promise me you won't dwell over me- you'll move on with your life- maybe you'll find someone else deserving of your love and introduce them to that killer attitude of yours. Don't ever let anyone treat you badly and one day maybe we meet again." He says with trembling lips and tears flowing down rapidly.

"Please don't leave me! I can't move on- I only want to love you. I'll always love you and this baby will know what kind of a person you are- the best kind in the world." I cry louder.

"I love you okay." He shuts down for a few seconds.

"Can you bring everyone in here?" He says with a jagged breath.

I nod and poke my head out the door.

"He doesn't have long." I bite my lip to stop myself from crying.

Everyone runs in. His family, Bianca and Kayla, my family, billy and I stood around him.

"I love you guys." He takes another jagged breath.

His eyelids flutter shut and he turns to the side. I hear him take his last, jagged breath.

(I recommend listening, makes it 100% better)

-7 months later-

I was holding our little baby boy in my hands.

"Hey little baby- your daddy might not be here physically but we will always be with us." I kiss him nose.

"Have you thought of a name?" The nurse asks.

"Yes. His name is Elijah." I smile.

The Ruel I wanted might have physically left but he left me this one.

The end.
