Chapter 11:Big Break

Leo's POV

Its after school hours and Liz wanted to talk to me about the past weekend and what she found out about her aunt. We went to our favorite place, the beach. It felt great to be with her and talk to her as if nothing had ever happened.

Leo: "So what is it that you wanted to tell me."

Liz: "OK so you know how I found pictures of my mom, aunt and dad. Then my dad's expression towards my aunt was suspicious."

Leo: "Yeah, what about it?"

Liz: "Well supposedly my aunt and my dad were once high school sweethearts."

Leo: "No way! That is really weird."

Liz: "Your telling me. When my aunt went to California to start her career and before she left they'd broke up. But over two years my mom and dad then started their relationship. He asked her to marry him and she said yes. My mom told my aunt and when she came back she was not expecting her ex being her brother-in-law."

Leo: "But doesn't that break the sister code."

Liz: "That's what my aunt said. Then at the night of the bachelor and baccalaureate party she had gone to the bathroom. When she came out my dad was there waiting for her, drunk, and they began making out. The next day my mom and dad got married. Two years later I was born and on when I was little on one of my birthdays my mom finally found out about that night. Never saw her until the past year. All this time I was so upset with my aunt for never being around when I was younger. And it wasn't exactly her choice to not be there."

Leo: "Well she is here now. I mean at least you have someone that cares for you. My mom and dad are my managers, they don't really care what I want or need they both are too busy. I don't even see them most of the time. I get my own food, I do whatever i want when ever I want. They don't really like me going to this school; they say it is a waste of time. But I decided that its what I want and so that is what I told them. Didn't agree but they let me do it anyway. Even though I thought I'd lost my parents forever, but when they let me do what I wanted for a first time in what seemed like forever; it made me rethink and I found out that they still care. So I am never going to stop trying until they care for my needs and wants before my career. And that is why you shouldn't give up on your aunt. It's not her fault, if anything it was just incident that your parents need to move from and forgive one another for the mistakes that they did. Not all of us are perfect."

Liz: "I know and now I understand that and I did forgive her, for that. In the past two months she has been secretly meeting my dad so he can get a report of how I've been adapting to this new life since he'd left. Then they actually DID IT, at least once from what I know."

Leo: "Really?! Didn't your aunt learn from the first time?"

Liz: "I guess not. But all that I am worried is that since my aunt has been giving him information about me and now that I know about everything; I just hope he doesn't try coming back into my life and try to be my father when he never tried being my father in the first place. And if he does what sucks about it the most is that I won't have a say because I am under 18 and by the law he is still my biological guardian and he has full custody."

Leo: "Well lets just see this issue as a warning; nothing has happened yet and act like nothing will happen. it's just another normal day."

Liz: "Your right!"

And so the day went on to be the perfect day for distraction and get to ignore everything that occured within the last 48 hours. Unfortunately the bad luck just keeps on coming. As Liz went to use the restroom, Olivia was in sight.
