Chapter 12: The Good-Bye

It was a Friday morning and today is not going to be just a regular day. After months of making friends that are celebrities, having to date one, then break-up with him, dealt with archenemies and many other discovers and now having to say good-bye is something I don't want to do. But I have to end things right with most of the people I've gotten know. Moving in with my dad is huge, never did I think about having the chance to reunite with my father. And it's coming close to Christmas time too. I can finally move in the direction that is mean't for me. As cool as it was hanging out with those whose been chased by paparazzi is cool, and finding other talents of mine was fun. But now realty is waking me up from this fairy-tale.

Before I went to school I was able to enjoy the last breakfast at my aunt's and seeing half of her house filled with brown boxes that hold my belongings is quite bizarre. Then I see my aunt and she made pancakes. As I sit, I wonder if she would come over to my dad's house in Venice. Even though it would be awkward, if they love one another and they want to get married it will be OK with me. I know that my mother would want him to be happy and so do I. Doesn't mean that I won't call her mom or anything but I will have a family intact.

Aunt Grace: "So how do feel about today?"

Liz: "To be honest, I feel anxious and sadness at the same time. I don't want to say goodbye to my friends, but then again I am excited to have my dad back into my life. I could never give up this chance to have a relationship with him."

Aunt Grace: "Well don't think of it as goodbye to friends. Think of it as a long distance relationship. And I am sure they will understand if they are true friends."

Liz: "Yea, they will understand, but I am not sure about one person in particular."

Aunt Grace: "You mean Leo."

Liz: "Yea, he is going to think I'm moving because of him. After all we did just break-up yesterday."

Aunt Grace: "Well did you tell him previously about your past or any mentioning of your father to him?"

Liz: "Yea, just before we broke up, but I hardly doubt he even listed. Now that I think about it, I'm not so sure if he even cared about me at all. He wouldn't have cheated on me if he had trusted me from the beginning."

Aunt Grace: "I think you are going to find out today. But you better get going because it almost 8 o'clock."

I gathered my things and rushed to school. As I walked through the halls I can feel my nerves break, heart beating slowly and remorse fills me up. When I saw my locker I also see Leo leaving his. He and I share eye contact and I feel time froze. I can see the guilt in his eyes and how much he is sorry. But then something screws up the moment. Olivia Holt comes beside him and grabs his arm. Our eye contact breaks and he looks at Olivia then back at me. He looks worried of what I might do. But all I did was face my locker and act like I didn't see anything. But how could he be with her after we just got out of our relationship. Literally, it was just yesterday that we were together and just yesterday that he just became single. Now I can't wait until this day is over and I will be on my way.

It is already dance class and the day is moving fast and which means time is running out with my friends and I.

Zendaya: "Hey Liz, do you know about Olivia and Leo?"

Liz: "That they are together, yea I know."

Zendaya: "How are you holding up?"

Liz: "If he is already moving on with someone else then obviously he didn't care about our relationship as much as he act like he did. So I don't care what I care about more than ever is my friends. Which reminds me that I need to tell you something before I tell everyone else at lunch."

Zendaya: "What?"

Liz : "I am leaving. Today is my last day I will be attending to this school. Which means that this will be goodbye when the bell rings after 7th."

Zendaya: "What, you can't leave. We have a Christmas parade and ball, then we have the Christmas eve concert. I had the perfect performance for us to do along with our amazing Mrs. Claus out fits."

Liz: "I know this is bad timing, and before you ask it has NOTHING to do with Leo.."

The whole class period I talk to her about my father and how he came back into my life and wants to build a relationship with me while he still has the chance. And after all that talking the bell to dismiss students to lunch rang. Zendaya is a true friend because she understands the opportunity and doesn't mind it. But she said to me,"On the weekends we can always meet up and plan something to do. We are only 30 minutes away." That has made my day.

Zendaya's POV

I walk down the hallway to put my books my locker, and with my luck, Leo stops by. I have absolutely no clue what he wants but right now I don't really want to talk to him because of the way hurt Liz.

Leo: "Hey Z, how's everything going?"

Zendaya: "What do you want Leo? My friends, including Liz, are waiting for me."

I emphasized Liz's name just to raise his temper, just a test to see if he really feels sorry for what he did. And as I said her name he looked down to the floor and perked lips like it REALLY bothered him.

Leo: "Yeah, speaking of Elizabeth, how .. is she?"

This just got real, Leo asking about Liz to one of her best friends is like the key to how much he really cares. But now I am in a bit of a pickle; Liz would want me to blow him off, but as her friend I would like to see the guy that really cares about her gets the opportunity to get her back.

Zendaya: "She is still trying to move on. She has been able to get out her anger and pain out through this big move."

Leo: "Move? What big move?"

Oops, I just pulled the cat out of the bag. Liz is going to be super pissed at me for telling him this. Since my mouth already rambling about the subject I must finish the story.

Zendaya: "Yea.. Liz is moving to Veince. Her dad came back wanting to be apart of her life and asked her to move in with him and she agreed."

Leo: "When was this?"

Zendaya: "A couple of hours when you two broke up. But don't worry she told me that it has NOTHING to do with you."

Leo: "She was never going to tell me, was she?"

Zendaya:" I don't know; she told me that she saw you with Olivia this morning and she is under the impression that your relationship meant nothing to you."

Leo: "It mean't everything to me. Every minute talking to her was like talking to my best friend. I've spilled out my most dark and deepest secrets to her and she believes that it was all play and not reality."

Zendaya: "Well aren't you and Olivia together? Because most guys that get out of one relationship and jump right back into another is what girls would calll a player."

Leo: "Yes Olivia are supposedly in a relationship but not for the reason that you and Elizabeth or any other girl thinks or believes."

Zendaya: "Well how about you explain Elizabeth about the whole ordeal. It is your last chance today because after school is moving for good."

Leo: "How am I suppose to get her to listen. She won't come within 12 feet away from me."

Zendaya: "After 7th go to the office and be ready to go publicly about this."

Leo: "No this is something I need to do in private."

Zendaya: "Okay fine, after 6th go to the auditorium. I will handle everything else."

Leo: "Alright thanks Z."

Then I walk into the direction of the cafertia leaving Leo. I just hope that my plan works out.
