Chapter 13: Last Chance for Romance

Leo's POV

It's after 6th period and I'm waiting in the auditorium like I'm suppose to. Every minute I wait here alone the more I fear that Z's plan failed. As time passes I took the chance to prepare what I would say to Elizabeth. In my mind:

Elizabeth I've heard that you were leaving and that today was your last day at this school. I was hoping that you would just give me that chance to hear me out. I don't want you to leave, but if this is something that you must do I won't try to convince you. I remember the first day I saw you. You were clumsy and I thought you were quite different after our first argument. I believed that I would never date anyone in high school; but you changed all of that. Not only did I change for the better but I had a best friend. The kind that I could always talk to and can trust my deep darkest secrets with and...

Just then I heard the double doors scretch open, and there I saw Elizabeth as gorgeous as ever. Now I'm REALLY neverous.

Elizabeth: "Leo what are you doing here? Never mind, have you seen Zendaya, she told me to meet her here."

Leo: "Actually no I havent seen her. But I know why she told you to meet her here?"

Elizabeth: "You do, how?"

Leo: "Because suring lunch I asked if she can get you to talk to me. After all today is your last day, all I'm asking is a chance for you to hear me out."

Elizabeth: "Alright, and do you think I will be late to 7th?"

Leo: "Yeah, who is your teacher?"

Elizabeth: "Mr. Shew."

Leo: "He will let you slide. I remember the first day we meet, how clumsy you were..."

Elizabeth: "Clumsy? You need to watch where you are going MR."

Leo: (giggles) "Well when we had our first argument I thought you were those typical preppy girls but the way you stood your ground impressed me. How you were so independent that changed my thought on every girl in the world. I knew from then on that you sparked my interest. The more we kept on bumping into one another and the more I've gotten to know you, I liked you even more."

Elizabeth: "What's up with memory lane? You know I've got class."

Leo: "Wait, the point is that you, Elizabeth, are the one thing that was good in my life. And as much as you've changed when we were together, I have also changed for the better. I miss that feeling when I'm by your side and the security that you make me feel. I know I screwed up this time but if you would just give me a second chance I promise that I would NEVER hurt you again."

Elizabeth: "Leo... I don't know what to tell you. As much as you made me feel more alive than ever I just can't afford to go back with you when I am trying to move forward. I am not great with long distance relationships. Plus I am still hurting from what you did to me. And besides, aren't you and Olivia dating now?"

Leo: "I am done with Olivia, she thought that we were automatically together because her crazy mind is not over me even though she clearly sees that I'm in love with you."

Elizabeth looks at me with nothing to say. The "in love with you" part was over the top.

Leo: "Sorry, love is such a strong word."

Elizabeth: "Leo I am not sure you even know what love is. I believe you are mistaking love with lust. Our relationship was another getaway from you dealing with your true problems."

Leo: "I don't have problems, I am lost without you Elizabeth."

Elizabeth: "No Leo, you need to fix whatever you are missing in your life and it's not me. I wish I could give you a second chance but I am leaving to Veince after school and I can't have ties with you when I'm moving forward. Sorry Leo."
