~4~Christmas Tree~

"And.. done."

Logan submitted his resume to the job back in Florida. He checked his watch- December 11; 17:00(5:00 PM)

Logan sighed. There's two weeks until Christmas. He wants to be back in Florida before the holiday comes, but on the inside he truly doesn't care either way.

He shuts his laptop, standing up from his desk and walking out into the living room. He's about to turn on his TV when his phone buzzes.

New Message from "Patton"
Hey, Lo! So.. I don't have a Christmas tree put up yet, and I should of gotten one up a while back, buuuut I can't chop one down on my own. .-.
Do you think you could help me?

Logan smirked to himself gently. They've been talking for a few days by text, and Logan has noticed how different their texting styles are. He texts back-

It's 'should have', not 'should of'. However, yes, I am available to help you at the moment. Would you like me to come over now?

Patton texts back almost immediately. Yeah! Thank you, Logie!! 😁😁😁😁

Logan chuckles to himself gently. No problem, Patton.

Logan slips his phone into his pocket, and walks out the door. A few paces to his left, and he's arrived. He knocks.

Patton answers immediately and opens the door. "Hey, Lo! So.. the tree place is kinda far away, but I know the address and how to get there so we can just take my car."

"That sounds adequate." Logan gently smiles at Patton and they start walking to Patton's car, chatting.

"So.." Logan begins as he gets into the passenger seat, "..would you like help also setting it up in your apartment? Maybe I can have the honors of meeting your dog?"

Patton giggles, smiling wide at Logan. "Sure! I mean.. do you have a tree? Because, if not, you can set yours up instead-"

Logan cuts him off. "I do have a tree. It is very small, and it is fake, but it does the job nicely I suppose. I am free to help you with anything you need for the entirety of the night, Patton."

Patton giggles again, and nods. They continue chatting the entire way there until they finally arrive.

Both get out of the car, walk over to the entrance, and pay. (I've never been to one of these before so I don't know how it works sorry)

They both walk inside, marveling at all the trees. Patton runs over to one.

"Lo, Logan, how about this one?"

Logan stares up at the tall tree. "Patton, I'm not sure that would fit inside your apartment."

Patton lets out a giggle, and they keep walking. Patton continues pointing to oversized trees, until they find the one.

"Logie, look at this! It's a little taller than me, that's gotta be a good size, yeah?"

Logan examines the tree. "Yes.. this seems like a good tree. Alright, I'll cut it down, Patton. Stand back a bit."

Patton nods, and takes some steps back. Logan quickly cuts down the tree, and ropes it up.

"Alright, I'll need help carrying it to the car, can you please hold up the front?"

Patton nods, and they both lift the tree from the ground and start walking. Luckily, they weren't too far from the car, and get there quickly. They put the tree on top of the car and make sure it's steady and locked in before getting back in the car.
