Logan opened his eyes, blinking slowly at the morning.

He let out a quiet sigh, looking around the room. He smiled to himself- it was Patton's room. And there was Patton himself, in his arms.

Patton was curled into a ball with his head laying against Logan's chest. Patton's hands were holding loosely onto Logan's arms, which were wrapped around Patton.

Logan let out another sigh, followed by a smile, when he realized the date- it was Christmas. And instead of spending the holiday in a small apartment somewhere in Florida, he was here, with his soulmate.

Logan turned his attention to his boyfriend when Patton started to move his head up to look at Logan.

"Merry Christmas, Lo.." Patton smiles groggily at Logan, blushing slightly.

"Merry Christmas, Pat." Logan sighed happily, before blinking quickly after having a realization. "I'm sorry Pat, I don't believe I got you a gift. In fact, I never went Christmas shopping for anyone."

"I don't think I got something for you either, Lo.. but that's okay. Your gift to me is just.. being here."

Patton smiled gently, and Logan blushed.

"Well.. then your gift to me is just frankly existing, I suppose." Logan said. Patton giggled at that, gripping onto Logan's arms tighter.

They both leaned closer, connecting for a short kiss. When they parted, Patton spoke.

"The town normally has a Christmas Celebration not too far from here with music and stuff, and I think it's snowing. It would be nice to see Roman and Virgil, too. It starts this afternoon. Should we go?"

"If you'd like, then I wouldn't mind stopping by." Logan answered. Patton smiled again, nodding.

Patton dragged Logan by the hand down the sidewalk. Logan soon saw an excess of Christmas decorations up ahead, including an over-sized tree in the centre of everything.

Logan spotted Virgil's messy hair and pale skin in the distance, along with Roman's normal attire, and pointed them out to Patton. They started heading their way.

"Ro! Virge! Merry Christmas!"

Roman turned around. "Wow, Pat, you're awful chipper considering Logan- wait, Logan?!"

Logan smiled awkwardly at Roman. "Hello, and Merry Christmas. I decided to stay."

"Oh, sweet! I knew you'd stay for Patton." Roman laughed happily.

Logan saw Patton glance down at Roman's hand, which, to Logan's surprise, was intertwined with Virgil's hand.

"Roman~? When did this happen between you and Virge~?" Patton teased, making both Roman and Virgil blush.

"Oh, I, uh.. not that long ago. What's the situation with you two, then?" Roman asked.

Logan and Patton glanced at each other, which made Patton giggle. He smiled at Roman, taking Logan's hand in his. "We're dating, too!"

Roman and Patton started having a conversation while still holding the hands of their partner's. Virgil eventually spoke to Logan.

"I'm sure you'll make him happy, he seems to really like you."

"Yes.. I suppose he does." Logan smiled gently.

"But.." Virgil started, making Logan immediately confused.

"But..?"

Virgil looked around, and then looked Logan dead in the eye. He lowered his voice.

"If you hurt him, then you'll having something coming from me, got it?"

Logan gulped, chuckling nervously. "Got it."

Virgil went back to his normal attitude, placing his free hand in his pocket. "Alright. We're cool then."

Logan and Virgil eventually joined Patton and Roman's conversation, and they found a bench to sit on as they talked. Then sun slowly started to go down as they chatted for a long time.

Logan perked up when he heard something go off in the distance. Patton squealed happily.

"Logan! Fireworks! We should go get closer to watch!"

Patton stood up and began dragging Logan towards the display. Logan looked back at the other two, quickly waving goodbye in an effort to have a good departure before letting Patton whisk him away.

They made it to a pavilion that had a good view of the fireworks. They stood side-by-side, taking in the beautiful sight.

Logan wrapped his arm gently around Patton's torso. Patton did the same to him.

Logan gently kissed Patton's hair, and Patton laid his head on Logan's shoulder. Logan laid his head on top of Patton's head.

At some point, they both looked up as a firework started to rise higher in the sky, and noticed they were standing under mistletoe.

Patton giggled, and both lovers turned to face each other. Patton wrapped both his arms around Logan's neck, and Logan wrapped his arms around Patton's lower back.

They both leaned forward, locking their lips. They pulled each other closer, love filling their bodies.

Logan fought back a smirk when he got an idea. He swiftly picked up Patton.

Patton broke the kiss and started squealing happily when Logan started to spin him. Patton wrapped his legs around Logan's lower back, careful not to restrain his legs.

Logan kept spinning Patton, and they both started to laugh happily. Patton leaned his forehead against Logan's as Logan finally put him down.

Their hands intertwined and they connected for another brief kiss.

"I love you, Logie." Patton smiled gently up at Logan.

"I love you too, dearest."

They connected again, Patton putting his hands on Logan's shoulders. Logan resisted the urge to smile.

Logan was happy. He never wanted this moment to end. He never wanted any of this to end.

But as they broke away and smiled once again at each other, he realized...

..It never had to.
