The Calm Before The Storm

*Piper's Pov*

Today was the day that Larry vists me. I haven't seen him in 2 weeks. I can't wait until visitation hours. I need to tell him everything... well almost everything. I headed for the showers. Knowing that Alex would most likely be there along side with Nicky, I made sure to make it quick. I walked in and the line was very long. I waited behind the 2 people I was trying to avoid. "Piper and I did some crazy shit Nichols. Crazy shit." I heard Alex say. I coughed so they would notice and hopefully Alex would stop talking about me. "Chapman we were just talking about you!" Nicky said as Alex was laughing. "Do you guys know how long of a wait it'll be?" I asked. Alex shook her head and said "No, why? Is your boyfriend coming?" I looked at her and shook my head yes.

I finally showered and got ready for my visit with Larry. I headed to the visitation room along with many other of the girls. I saw Larry sitting at the small table waiting for me. "Seriously Pipes? Him? You can do so much better" Alex said as she was walking to her visitor. I just ignored it amd headed to Larry. We hugged at sat down. I missed him so much. For at least one full minuet, we just stared at each other in silence. "Piper. I miss you so much. And I love you like mad." Larry said. I smiled and held his hand and said "I love you too."  After our exchange of affection, we just made small talk. "Visiting hours are over" The CO said. Larry and I hugged again, while we were hugging Alex looked at me and winked. I knew it couldn't be good.

After visitation it was time for lunch. I headed to the canteen and I knew that Alex wasn't far behind me. We sat down next to Nicky and Lorna as usual. Yoga Jones and Sister Ingalls sat down with us today. "So hows the fiancé Chapman?" Nichols asked in a snarky tone. "He's good. Working on some journal pieces." I replied. Alex rolled her eyes. "Why are you wasting your time on him? He looks like he's 17, and from how he dresses, it looks like he never left freshman year of college. Plus you said he's a writer, Piper he's sappy as fuck! You can do better." She said. Morello's jaw dropped. She was shocked how Alex talked to me. "Well, you know what, he maybe be a baby, but he doesn't make me his personal errand runner." I said continuing to dump my try. Nicky looked at Alex. "She'll be back" Alex said.

It was just before lights out and Alex came to my bunk. "Hey, can we talk? Please?" She said. I shrugged my shoulders. She walked into my bunk, pushing her glass onto her head. "Look, I know what I did was fucked up. I do. But I would've given you the world Piper. You weren't just a drug mule to me. I loved you. I STILL love you. Piper, you don't know how sorry I am. I honestly want to put this all behind us. Do you think we could maybe start?" I looked into her green eyes and said "Al... I don't know if I can..." she quickly responded "Why can't you?" I didn't say anything because i didn't have a reason. So I nodded while looking into her beautiful green eyes. She was looking in mine, and I felt home. "Hey love birds. Its 2 minuets before lights out. Get a move on" Nicky said. Alex waved goodbye and headed to her bunk. Alex and I could be on a new start.
