Live and Let Learn.(part 1)

*Piper's Pov*

This was it. The day of my freedom. I've waited for this day for so long. 15 months seemed like forever.

Alex was picking me up, Lorna would be with her. I was so excited.

Leaving gives me a bitter sweet feeling. I made friends.

As I was packing, Nicky came into my cube.

"Chapman. You've come a long way kid. I'm proud of you. Now it's only roughly 3 more years until I'm with you, and Vause, and Lorna again. I'm gonna miss you kid."

"Aw, Nicky. Maybe you could try to get out early. I'll look into it for you. I'm gonna miss you too. And i know Alex and Lorna do too. But, we'll wait for you. That's a promise. I love you." I said as i hugged her.

She hugged back and said "alright, keep packing kid." Her voice was cracking. I know she wanted to cry.

"Hey Nichols. Stay... stay out of trouble." I said almost crying. I was leaving my best friend...

I finished packing and headed to the kitchen for one last meal.

Everyone knew I was being released today. They all called my name and started to clap and cheer.

I sat down where I always sat. Red came up to me.

"You made it. Congratulations. We'll miss you here Piper. So with that... heres this. " Red presented me with some of the food from her restaurant. It looked amazing. It smelt wonderful. And the taste.... I couldn't even begin to describe it.

Once I finished I got up and hugged the Russian lady.

After we ate, the other inmates got together and threw a party for me in the rec room.

It was the best day of my sentence. I loved everyone so much. They all hold a special place in my heart.

It came time to say goodbye. I hugged everyone and headed out.

Fishcer was walking me out to Alex waiting in the car.

"It was good to know you Chapman. Don't get into trouble again. This isn't for you." She said to me and smiled.

With that, I walked to the car, got in, and hugged Alex and Lorna.

We started to drive out of the prison... It was all falling into place now.
