Parent Guidance

*Nicky's Pov*

I don't like to dwell on the past or my emotions, but Vause's mom died, Chapman gets to see hers. Everyone has a mother. Or at least talks about them. Yeah, I have a mom. But she doesn't care about me. Even when I got that bacterial infection.

"Mom! I'm going out. I'll be home later. " I said as I left the house. "Okay! Be back by 10 Nicky!" I heard my mother say.

I met up with my friends and we decided to do heroin. "Hey Nicky, your mom know yet? Or are you pulling the 'I'm daddy's little princess and too rich to get into this shit' card? My friend Amber asked. I looked at her and said "Nah, she doesn't need to know."

We started injecting the needle into are arms. We all mainly stuck to a certian amount but today i needed more. I grabbed my friends needles and just injected the shit itnto my arms.

The next thing I remember, I woke up in hospital bed with a giant scar down my chest.

"Nicky? Can you hear me?" I heard my mom say. I looked at her and said "I always miss you until your here."

She looked away and told me what happened. I honestly wanted her gone. And thats what she did. She left.

"Nichols. Nichols. NICKY!" Morello yelled at me. "What" i replied. "You were zoning out...you okay?" She asked. "Yeah, fine." I replied.

I don't know why this is bothering me all of a sudden. I hated my mom. But I still put her on my visitation list.

"Long time no see Nicole." My mom said. "Mom, please call me Nicky." I said. This was the first time she's visited me.

"Mom. I'm sorry I'm a fuck up. I'm sorry I'm a junkie. But it was who I am." I said. She grabbed my hands and just looked at me. "Nicky... I am so sorry I left when you were in the hospital. But I'm here now."

We had a decent visit I guess. It was weird. "Lorna, Vause, Chapman... what's having a mom like..? Mine came to visit..."

"Well Nichols, they are ment to be assholes and tough on you. But they genuinely love you. Mine was uh, mine was great. I didn't grow up with a dad, so my mom was my everything. Wasn't she Pipes?" Alex said.

"Yeah, to add on to what Alex said, mothers are the ones who love you for you and unconditionally. They honestly hate you at times but some how mange to still love you." Piper said.

"Well you know they really love you. And depending on how you treat them, they act the same way towards you. They really give you guidance. " Morello said.

I knew then that I should attempt to make things right. She would have to accept me for me and if she doesn't.... I'll  deal with it.
