*Piper's Pov*

Alex ran into the burning building. I couldn't stop her.

I turned to Lorna. "Oh my god. Are you okay?!" I asked as I hugged her.

"Yes, I'm okay. I'm so sorry!" Lorna said while crying.

"Sshh. It's okay. No one was hurt thats all that matters." I said still hugging her.

I couldn't help but wonder what was so important in the apartment that Alex just had to get.

Something around 25 minuets passed, and Alex still wasn't out yet. I started to worry.

I looked away and  started pacing.

Lorna came over to me and started rubbing my back.

I turned around and Alex came running out of the building. Sje was covered in sut.

"Oh my god. Alex!" I said as I ran to her and hugged her. "Are you okay?! You are insane!" I said still hugging her.

Alex hugged me tightly and said "Yes. I'm fine. I promise." Then she kissed me.

I didn't want to let her go. I never wanted to.

"Lorna, are you okay? Look, I'm not mad, that apartment was shitty anyway. We'll get a new one. " Alex said walking over to Lorna.

"Alex, are you sure? I feel awful!" Lorna said still crying.

We all hugged and got into Alexs' car.

"What's next?" I asked.

Alex shrugged. "I don't know. We'll get a hotel for now, I'll look for a place for us."

I grabbed Alexs' arm and said "What about your mom's house in New Jersey?"

Alex looked at me. "We could... but what about Nicky?"

I looked down. I needed to think about it. "She has our number. We'll get her when we need to."

Alex looked at me and Lorna and smiled.

"Looks like we're going to New Jersey!" Alex said.

We drove for 3 hours and arrived at the huge house Alex had bought her mother 10 years ago.

When we got out, i asked Alex, "why did you run in the apartment?"

She looked at Lorna, and smiled. Lorna knew.

Alex took my hands and got down on one knee...
