N/A Ok I am back with another chapter I am adding James's POV back in this chapter I think while  Elizabeth is working in London for the next 3 months I will be switching between their POVs quite a lot my finger is giving me troubles copying the text (I type it in text edit so I make less spelling errors) It took me about 10 tries to get the text coppied :3 anyway all is good it has finally stopped snowing and I am getting use to typing with this finger (Just not copying and pasting from text edit :3) I am in a good mood so I might write another chapter tonight even though I should be visiting with my family :P I just am slightly on the introverted side so I dont want to talk with them! (scratch slightly replace with possibly the most introverted person you may ever meet or hear of!) Happy readings ya'll <3

I woke up very chilled James’s arms were not wrapped around me and it felt cold without them, I changed into my uniform and curled my hair walking out to be greeted by Mr. Martins “Ah good to see you up early Mrs. Smith now I guess we will assign you somewhere, your good with polio patients are you?” he babbled quickly “Um yes sir thats my specialty” I said with a laugh “Would you like to work with Iron lung patients or ones with paralytic polio?” he smiled “Um I worked on paralytic cases back home” I said “well its settled also go get your breakfast that way” he said pointing to a sign marked cafe “ok I’ll get right on it” I said grabbing breakfast eating it then running off to work through the ward doors I looked for the proper ward finding it and running it to be greeted by many, many children limping around, it looked like they had not even been properly cared for they must have been really short staffed here!

I sat each child in their bed then boiled some water then poured it on blankets then wrapped it around each child’s legs then let them sleep then prepared a craft for them, every once and a while a parent would walk up to the ward window and smile at the children being cared for properly, I couldn't help but smile back when all the children got up from their nap I made them all walk (unless they couldn't at all) to the table where their craft was being held “Now everyone we are going to write letters to our parents telling them all about today” I instructed handing each a piece of paper “this will also exercise your hands and keep them from deforming” I said giving more supplies each child wrote for a hour or so before sealing it up and handing it to me with all the mailing information scrawled on the front “Now whoever walks to the end of the room first will be able to lick all the letters shut and put the stamps on” I offered watching them all attempt to get to the other side of the room some gave up and sat down while others raced to get to the end, a little girl named Eleanor ended up winning I laughed as she put all the little stamps on the letters and finished quickly while the others got baths, unwillingly but did as they were told later that evening I got a letter from James

my love,

Hope you are having a great day I figure I will send you a letter every day and I hope you do the same the day was normal here but it was much quieter in the house with only Annie and I I hope you are fine love you I cant wait to see you home

-Love James xo

I smiled as I read through it quickly falling asleep on the bed in the whitewashed bedroom I now lived in. It had ether been a really long day or I was just really tired for some strange reason, ether way as soon as I hit the bed I was gone filled with dreams of James.

I woke up and felt a knot in my stomach I ran up to the mirror and looked in it I was pale as snow, like worse than my usual paleness I raced to the bathroom puking when I got there I hated the fact it was across the hall but, I was fine after my puking episode so I went back to my normal business I worked all day like normal then when I got back to my room I wrote up a letter telling James every detail of my day.

James’s POV

I slept with Annie in our bed moving her fur back and forth with the movement of my hand I laughed as she fell from the bed, landing on her feet like the cat she was she was cheeky as usual but I still felt so alone, how would I live for 3 months without Elizabeth, I said her name it felt good to speak it, it left that feeling you only get when you are in love on the tip of my tongue I spoke the name racing downstairs and writing a letter sending it as soon as I finished, I would write to her every day no mater how sore my hand got! I loved her and I was not about to let her forget that I went about my day as normal taking care of the kids in ward B I just hoped she was ok I felt like she was sad I really don't know how I know this I just do I noticed a response from Elizabeth taking it out of the mailbox smelling the soft smell of her perfume in my nose it made me want to take a train to the hospital and kiss every square inch of her I opened it up and read it with Annie curled up on my lap

Dear James,

I love you I miss you, and I can't wait for these 3 months to be over, you have a good idea though I guess I’ll write you every day as well well surprisingly I was sick this morning Its been on my mind all day, I was fine once it was over I guess its this rotten food, do you know they use inflatable eggs here they just put water in a pan with this egg powder and it inflates, yuck I hate the idea I wish I could get real egg and a decent piece of fish the fish here is horrid I fear it has been in the freezer for weeks, its only good fresh I’m sure you know that well I took care of the ward again I’m afraid to say that when I got here they were in horrid shape, I wondered if they were caring for them but they are starting to heal the trick is getting them on their feet and not letting them be lazy I sometimes have to bribe them with candy or toys but I stopped at a store and got a bunch of cheep ones I made a deal that the boy to start walking without his braces first would win a firetruck toy and the girl to do the same would win a doll they are healing faster than ever now I am so proud of them, I might need to buy more toys some time soon but Mr. Martins is so pleased with the results he says the hospital will pay for all the toys we need to get them walking again.

-With love

Elizabeth xo

I started to panic when I read that she was sick, she was my gal if she was sick I was worried but I was proud the kids she was taking care of were getting better mine were improving to but not that fast Elizabeth was the one and only if you got Elizabeth to help you in ward B you would be healed faster than anyone else in another ward I just hoped she was ok I thought of every reason she could be sick, the flu, a cold, a virus, the food, food poisoning, the only thing that I would even be mildly ok with was morning sickness but with all the fish she ate food poisoning was far more likely I just wanted her to be ok.
