Overnight Decorations - Kokichi x Kaede

Kaede opened her eyes and at first she thought she was dreaming. That was until her her roommate, Kokichi, appeared hovering over her. Kokichi and her were living together until the rest of the students got out of the simulator.

"Good morning~ Look what I did to the house!" With that, the liar disappeared again. Kaede groaned and sat up, her eyes flying open. Her room was covered in paper snowflakes hanging from the ceiling, Christmas ornaments dangling from everything possible and a tiny tree was set up in the corner of her room, fake presents stacked underneath it.

Entering the hall, and the rest of the apartment, was even worse. Fake snow was littered around the floor, more snowflakes hanging around. A mini-train track was circling around the kitchen and chucking under another tree in the main room. Kokichi was dressed in a large Christmas sweater, two mugs of hot chocolate in his hands.

"When did you do all this?" Kaede asked in amazement. The night before, Kokichi Was acting as he normally did. Nothing to suggest that the house would look like this the following morning.

"I did it last night! Do you like it?" Kokichi reminded her of a child seeking their parents approval. Kaede smiled at him with sincerity.

"Of course I like it, why wouldn't I?" She asked as Kokichi handed her a mug, beaming.

Kokichi and Kaede spent the rest of the morning by watching Christmas movies on the tv and checking in on the other students with the surveillance cameras. Kiibo had lost his antenna was currently fighting Monokuma and the exials.

"The end is growing near." Kaede murmured as she turned off the monitor. She noticed that Kokichi had fallen asleep against her. He really did look like a child. He did stay awake all night to decorate the house for Christmas.

Kaede smiled and leaned her head against his, allowing herself to fall asleep.
