"I left to check on you and she locked the door" he said shakily. I couldn't handle this at all and Betty came in and kissed my head even though she was crying too.
Betty ran to the door and started banging on the door crying and screaming. "Cheryl?!" She cried. We were both crying and Toni was hugging Kevin who was also crying.
She felt the worst out of all of us, or either her or me. But she refused to show. "Cherie please open the door" sobbed Betty as she sunk to the floor.
Toni pushed all of us out of the way and literally I swear she looked so fucking cool (but I'm cooler) and she kicked down the door.
"Don't go in yet guys. I'll check" she said.

Toni's POV
I ran around the room looking for Cheryl. I went into the bathroom and she was on the floor, just in a bra and shorts, hair wet, starting at the ceiling.
I lied down next to her and stared up too and whispered "I love you" into her ear. I kissed her cheek, but she didn't so much as look. She wasn't mad though, because I could usually tell, she just seemed like... emotionless?
I kissed her head and she flinched and whimpered and I held her hand for a second and went outside to tell everyone how she was doing.
"She's on the floor staring at the ceiling."
"Did you do anything?" asked Veronica. "Yeah I um kissed her and i accidentally touched her head."
"She's probably having some sort of PTSD flashback. She had one sophomore year it was pretty bad. Just stay outside the bathroom and if she needs anything just give it to her."
I did what Veronica suggested and sat outside the bathroom with Betty. "What did she look like? Was she ok?" whispered Betty.
"I don't know. She had mascara running down her face but it looked like she was staring down a void."
Betty sighed. "She's so broken sometimes I wonder how she does it. How she gets up every morning so strongly. It's amazing."
It was quiet until we heard Cheryl whimpering in the bathroom and I said "Baby? Are you okay?"
I walked in and she was still on the floor, but she was holding her head and stirring. "Bub, listen you're okay. You're not at home. It's December 24th 2019, you're in Pennsylvania, it's me and Betty, and I fucking love you."
I gently held her and said "I'm sorry babe. I'm really sorry. Please calm down. Can you take a deep breath for me?"
She inhaled and exhaled a few times and said "I've been on the floor for an hour. I just had a really vivid flashback it was scary. Like I was in a trance."
I kissed her cheek and said "But it's Christmas Eve! And I got you a few things for Christmas."
"Tomorrow's Christmas?"
I smiled at her because she was now giggling and said "Yeah it's almost Christmas cutie."

Cheryl's POV
"We're going home tomorrow too so we can be home for Christmas" said Toni. I felt a wave of dread hit me as I remembered that mommy called me earlier.
I didn't want anyone to stress over me any longer because they shouldn't waste their time so I kept it to myself.
