san/wooyoung
san sat across the couch from the red-faced, smaller boy hiding behind his knees on the other end, cocking his head to the right with a gentle smile pulling at the corners of his mouth. he could have sat there for decades, centuries, even eons. he couldn't pull his gaze away from the younger, even if he wanted to. his smile grew larger slowly as he looked over every flawless part of the nervous and frankly adorable boy in front of him. god, what san would do to see him smile and uncover his tanned face or hear him laugh...
all for a boy he barely knew.
his neighbor finally looked up and caught san's eyes of espresso examining him. san quickly got his wish, seeing the corners of the boy's mouth fight to not go up. finally, he broke the silence.
"so, san..." wooyoung started, "i know pretty much nothing about you."
"well, for starters, my name is choi san, and i'm your next-door neighbor." this response made the gray-haired younger laugh, moving closer to punch his arm softly. san's smile kept growing at the small actions that would be insignificant if it was anyone else.
"i already knew that!" wooyoung said in between his squeaky laughter, continuing when he finally calmed down enough. "tell me something else - that i don't know, preferably." to this, san nodded proudly, as if he was waiting for this his whole life.
...
after hours of chatting, san finally decided it was getting too late and told the younger that he had to get going, to which he frowned at and protested against. the younger's sleepy, small complaints made san's heart beat a little faster. to appease the young boy, he offered to come back over the next day, which wooyoung immediately agreed to.
the boys bid soft farewells as san walked out of the house and wooyoung walked into his bathroom, both satisfied with the day they'd spent together, both excited for the next.
