tw; alcohol, drinking

san/wooyoung

days passed since san had found the whiskey, and drinking until he passed out was quickly becoming a habit. the familiar feeling of nothing submerged his body and he felt entirely numb. the one good part about it was the fact that he finally was focused on something other than wooyoung. whenever he could, he had a bottle in hand and would take random swigs whenever he felt something, good or bad.

the drinking became his way of coping with the loss of the purple-haired boy he was so fond of. the whiskey was a replacement for his touch, burning like the last words the younger spoke on its way down his throat.

he had ignored everyone and didn't even notice. the only times he left the apartment now were to get food and get more booze. he saw nobody and no light. bags had formed under his once bright eyes which were now dark, slightly red and visibly tired.

san didn't care though. the ability to care went away with the ability to feel.

at the moment, he sat on the couch in the dark.

the same couch where he and wooyoung had once been walked in on by yeosang.

he had an empty bottle next to him, freshly finished. his eyes were closed and his head tipped back, leaning onto the couch. he was stretched out, breathing slowly as he felt everything go back to the cold nothingness he'd accepted as part of him. a swirling breath passed through his open lips into the still air that suffocated him.

part of him wanted things to go back to how they were, the other part somewhat satisfied or at least content with the present.

suddenly, his eyes snapped open when he heard knocking on the door.

"who is it...?" he groaned, rubbing the butt of his palm on his forehead and blinking a few times. the knocking continued, not offering an answer.

groggily, san made his way to the door, opening it without looking at who was there before saying, "listen, fucko, i'm not feelin' too great right about now, so why don't you march your happy little ass to some other apartment, huh?"

suddenly, arms enveloped him tightly and a familiar scent flooded his nose.

"you look like shit," the voice of the person holding him said softly.

san felt something pull at his heartstrings as he realized that wooyoung was back, holding him. his arms wrapped tightly around the smaller and tears came to his eyes before falling down his cheeks. his hands clutched the fabric of the younger's shirt and he dug his face in his shoulder, shaking and clinging to him for dear life.

"you smell like shit too. what happened to you?" wooyoung laughed gently, his hands finding their way to san's hair.

"whiskey. why are you here?"

"i wanted to tell you that, uh... i accept your apology. and i understand," wooyoung said as he let go. san kept hugging him.

"r-really?!" san nearly shouted with a smile. wooyoung nodded and smiled solemnly before saying,

"but... i wanted to let you know... i'm moving back in with my parents. seoul is just... too much for now." san's smile faded immediately, a dumbfounded look replacing it.

"wh-what...? no, woo, you can't...!"

"i'm sorry, but i had to tell you before i left," wooyoung frowned.

san felt himself crashing. he finally had the love of his life back.

but now he was going to be gone again.
