Rosalie's POV

When we got home, Esme was flitting around the kitchen with dirty pans stacked in the farmhouse sink and flour coating most of the counters. It smelt of sugar and butter and chocolate.

"You're baking, Esme?" I ask, coming to the room with Emmett.

Her head snaps up, a bright smile on her face. "Alice told me Bella was coming over and I wanted to make her something. I admit the first few tries weren't so good, but I think they finally turned out alright."

Showing off a neatly placed stack of brownies, "Let's hope they taste good."

I couldn't help but smile at my mother figure. "You're so sweet, thank you for this."

"Of course, dear. She's apart of our family now. " she flits over after placing the plate on the counter and gives me a hug.

"I wish I could eat them, Esme. They look really good." Emmett says.

Esme coos, patting Emmett's cheek before going around the kitchen to clean up.

Emmett and I walk up to our room from there, passing Edward on the way with a glare.

Of course I understand the danger our relationships with Bella creates with us and that we would be implicated if it ends badly. I get it and as selfish as it makes me, I've come to terms with it and moved on. But, the problem isn't even that with him.

He thinks it's disgusting that I'm with Emmett and hopefully, with Bella.

It's partly being with two people at once and partly instilled homophobia. At this point, though, he should move on and see that there is nothing wrong with that type of love. After over one hundred years, he should have evolved enough to understand. That is his problem, however, and I refuse to let him spout bullshit on it.

"Ignore him, babe. He's just jealous, the odd man out." Emmett shrugs, pulling me closer by my hand. "Besides, it's all that pent up sexual frustration-"

"Stop it," I laugh, pressing my lips to his. "Emmett!" I shout, he pulls us fast and suddenly we're on the bed, the posts slamming into the wall with a bang.

"You love me." He says from below me.

"I do. I guess."

With a howling laugh, he tackles me down with kisses.

About an hour later, a now familiar rumble starts down our driveway. With a quick kiss, I tell Emmett to stay there and flit down the stairs.

"Alice." I say, knowing she can hear me and not a second later she meets me at the front door.

"Yes." She says.

"Really?" I ask.

Alice nods, all but bursting with excitement. "You have to tell her sometime. Tonight works. The sooner the better, you know."

Biting my lip, in an unconscious human gesture, I nod.

It's true. She has to know what we are sometime and the sooner she knows, the sooner the lies stop. I just don't really know how she will react but anything that happens, I'll respect her decision and wish her the best.

Jasper is there next to Alice in a second and he offers me a small smile. "You have nothing to worry about. She already feels so strongly for not just you but the rest of the family too. Er, well. Not Edward, I suppose she doesn't like him much."

I can't help but snort.

"Don't worry, Rose. All will work out." Alice flits over to kiss my cheek and then pulls Jasper with her to the back and out into the woods as Bella parks out front.
