Katie Learns the Truth

Katie woke up to see that the sun was shining in Forks. She smiled knowing that she was going to wear something to enjoy the warm sun. She was looking for the Cullens as for Bella, who was smirking. So far her planned had work. Jessica noticed Katie looking and sighed. "They're not here." She said.

"Huh?" Katie asked as she came out of her daydream. "Oh. Um, what do you mean their not here."

"Dr. And Mrs. Cullen take them out of school for camping." Jessica tells the blonde. "I have tried that on my parents..." Katie zoned out. Her mind was on the new information she just got. She didn't notice Angela till she heard Port Angeles.

"Port Angeles." She mumbled to herself and looked at the two girls. "Can I come?"

"Of course." Angela said smiling. "I need your help finding the perfect dress." Katie smiled and nodded. She knew that she could help them and once she was done, she will go to the bookstore to get the one book that held answers.

Katie smiled as she saw all the beautiful dresses. Bella was invited, but she declined. Katie knew that Bella was up to something within this 'friendship' that Katie could care less about. Katie decided that she was going to head over to the bookstore and meet them at the restaurant. "Guys, I'm going over to the bookstore."

"Are you sure?" Angela asked. Katie nodded at the girls and told them what dress to wear. Katie didn't know that something bad was about to happen.

Bella smirked as she laid in her bed knowing that Kati will soon find out and than she can move on to her next plan. Threatening the Cullens.

Katie was walking up an alley, when she realized she took the wrong turn. Before she could leave, two shadows appeared. Katie stopped and turned to see two more. She saw there was stairs behind her and walked it not knowing that she was falling for a trap.

"Hey beautiful." One said. Katie was fighting them off, either telling them to back off or don't touch her. Katie felt one grab her hands till the sound of a vehicle skidding to a stop. The boys backed off at the sight of a Jeep. Katie was panicking hoping this wasn't one of the men till she saw a familiar face.

"Emmett!" She cried out. Emmett looked and sighed in relief.

"Get in the car." He demanded as Katie ran to the Jeep. She felt safe. She watched the interaction with the frat boys and Emmett. By the looks of it, Emmett made them scurry off.

The two arrived at the restaurant where she was meeting Jessica and Angela at. "Hey!" She called out. Jessica and Angela turn to see their friend was okay. The girls gushed when they saw Emmett walking up to Katie.

"Well we were just leaving so..." Jessica singled for the other two to follow. Katie looked at Emmett, torn between her new friends and the boy she was falling in love with every day. Emmett was also torn.

"How about I get her something to eat?" Emmett offered making Katie smile along with Angela and Jessica.

"That is thoughtful." Angela said.

"Yeah very thoughtful." Jessica said smiling at the two. "Will see you at school Katie, but call us so we know you got home."

"I will."

After dinner, Emmett drove Katie home. The two talked even though Katie asked him how he found her, but to her dismay, never got an answer. Katie smiled at how he didn't want to let her leave. "Emmett, you will see me tomorrow and plus I would like to take a shower and go to bed."

"Okay. I'll see you tomorrow." Emmett said defeatedly. Katie laughed as Emmett joined in. She kissed his cheek and walked away. Emmett knew she was finding out the truth.

Katie sat down on her bed and started reading the legends book she bought. She finally made it to the 'cold ones'. Katie walked over to her computer and started researching again as she read the book and gasped. "Emmett Cullen is a vampire." She whispered. Katie smiled liking the idea of how there was more to the world than she thought.
