Telling Emmett

The next easy, Katie got dressed and left. She had came up with a way to confront Emmett. She wanted to know everything. She noticed that she should be afraid, but she couldn't. 'This is Emmett. He couldn't hurt me.' She thought. Katie sighed as she climbed into her car and left.

Once she arrived she saw the Cullens. Katie sighed knowing that today is going to be a long day. Bella on the other hand watched as Katie get out of the car and make her way over to the Cullens. Bella smirked when she saw Emmett walking away from the others and follow Katie. 'This is going to be fun.' She thought. Edward looked over at the brunette and glared. He put his arms around Rosalie and lead her to class as Alice and Jasper followed.

"Bella knows Katie figured it out." Edward said as him, his mate, Alice, and Jasper where inside the school.

"What do you mean?" Rosalie asked her mate.

"She's not going to leave Katie alone." Alice said as she remembered her vision. "Bella will use this "friendship" to get close to Emmett or Edward." Rosalie growled at the idea of Bella using Emmett's mate for her own good.

Katie stopped in the middle of the forest as she heard Emmett walk up behind her. "Your incredibly fast. Your strong. When you talk it's like your from a different time." She paused waiting for him to laugh at her. When there was nothing but silence she continued. "I know what you are Emmett." She paused again to wait for his response before continuing. "How old are you?"

"Twenty." He replied. Katie inhaled and realized that she was right.

"Not your body." She stated.

"Awhile." He respond. Katie smiled knowing she was right.

"Than I know what you are."

"Say it Katie." Emmett said as he walked up behind her. "Out loud." Katie felt his cold breath against her skin confirmed how close he was. "Say it."

"Vampire." Katie said.

"Are you afraid." He asked. Katie turned shocked by the question.

"Of course not Emmett. I could never be afraid of you." Katie said. Emmett smiled a little. Katie turned towards him as he thought of something.

"Come on. I want to show you something." Emmett tells her. Katie nodded as he threw her on his back and vamp speed through the forest. Katie was surprised at the speed, but started laughing as he carried her all the way through the forest till the came to a clearing. Emmett dropped her as he continued to walk.

"Emmett?" She tried to call out, but he ignored her as he took of his shirt.

"This is what we look like in the sun." Emmett tells her as he stepped into the sun. Katie was shocked to that he sparkles in the sun.

"Wow." She said breathlessly. "You look beautiful." Emmett gave her a small smile and threw his shirt back on.

"Beautiful? This is a skin of a monster Katie." He said. Katie looked at him with sadness in her eyes.

"Emmett, you are not a monster. You or the others can never be monsters." Katie said as he smiled.

"Me and my family are different Katie. We're not nomadic. We drink from animals cause we don't want to hurt humans." Emmett said.

"So it was the nomads that killed Waylon?" She asked. Emmett nodded as she caught on. "Wow. Talk about evil." Emmett laughed at her statement. "What else can you do?"

"Well some of us have gifts." He said.

"Do you have a gift?" She asked.

"No. Edward, Jasper, and Alice have gifts. Me, Rose, and our parents don't have a gift unless you can count Carlisle's ability to be around blood and not have the urge to drink it like we do."

"Wow." Katie said.

Later that day, Katie was sitting outside enjoying a glass of tea, reading a book and humming to a beautiful song she heard when she was little. Emmett smiled as he arrived and kissed her cheek. "Hey." She said a little startled by him.

"You know your humming sounds beautiful." He commented. Katie blushed at the comment and mumbled a thank you. "Do you sing?"

"Of course I do. It's one of my favorite things I enjoy to do." Katie said. "What brings you by anyways."

"Esme and Carlisle would like to meet you." Emmett said. Katie smiled and nodded.

"Of course I'll go." Katie answered. Emmett smiled and kissed her forehead.

"I have to go. I'll see you tomorrow." Emmett said.

"Ok see you tomorrow."

Katie and Emmett didn't know was that Bella overheard the conversation and smiled at the idea she came up with. If Katie is going, so shall she.
