Emmett's Melody

Training

Emmett walked in his room to see Katie sound asleep. He smiled at her as Edward poked his head in. "She needs to wake up. We're leaving soon." Emmett nodded at Edward and walked over to Katie.

"Katie!" He called out as she opened her eyes groaning from the light. "Time to wake. We have training today." Katie nodded as she walked over to the closet and pulled out her an author. Emmett smiled as he walked out leaving Katie behind to get dressed.

Once Katie was finished, she made her way downstairs to meet up with Emmett. "Ready?" He asked.

"As I'll ever be." She responded. Emmett walked over and hugged her.

"Once this is all over, let's focus on our wedding." Emmett tells her making Katie smile. She nodded as he put her on his back. "Let's get this show on the road."

Katie sat on a nearby log as she watched the Cullens train. She heard growling and saw the wolves. "They don't trust us in human form." Edward announces to Carlisle.

"Their here, that's all that matters. Jasper." Jasper walked in the center and started explaining about the newborns. Katie listened carefully and wondered how he knows all this.

"Emmett!" Jasper called for. Emmett kissed Katie's head as he walked to the center.

"Don't kill my mate Jasper!" Katie exclaimed as Jasper smiled at the girl. She watched them fight as Edward walked over.

"Who do you think will win?" He asked.

"Jasper." Was all she said as Edward looked at her.

"Why would you say that?" Edward asked.

"Jasper seems like he's done this before when he first turned. Emmett maybe strong, but Jasper has more experience." Katie replies shocking Edward. Katie may have never talked to Jasper much, but she paid enough attention to learn enough about Jasper.

Katie smiled as she watched everyone working together as Jacob walked over in his form. "You know that all of you could get hurt or worse." Katie tells him as he nodded. "Jacob, I'm sorry about Bella. I didn't know she was turned till Alice saw her and Riley working together, but the mastermind behind it all is staying out of sight." Jacob nuzzled her and she sighed. "I wish there was no war, no jealousy, no nothing, but this is the life I have chosen and I don't really regret it." Jacob tilted his head wanting to know more. "I wanted got to meet an amazing friend, one last family member, and the love of my life."

Emmett looked over to see Katie talking to the Jacob who sat and listened. He smiled knowing Katie means well and that she loves him. He wished there wasn't a war either, but none of this wouldn't have started if it wasn't for Bella.

"Let's hope no one get's hurt." She tells him. Jacob nodded and went to the space get to practice. Alice skipped beside her and hugged her.

"Jasper said he heard what you said to Edward." She started making Katie look at her. "You two hardly talked and yet you managed to listen to him."

"He said at the meeting after the party that he has fought your kind before so I thought that when he was turned he was part of the newborn army, but controlled by who, I don't know that part." Katie tells her.

"I'll let Jasper explain."

Once everyone stopped and the shifters left, Kati saw jasper walking up to her. "You know a little about my past." He started. "Katie, you are right. I was part in the newborn army." Katie smiled and nodded for him to continue. "It all started when I ran away from home to join the confederate army. I was known as the youngest major." Katie was surprised by this but kept listening. "I was on guard when I ran up on three women and offered them my aid." Jasper started walking as Katie walked with him. "I was bit and turned by a woman named Maria. She was building an army." He showed her his bites fro killing the newborns.

"Wow. Where did these come from?" She asked.

"I was in charge of killing and training the newborns. Once Maria was done with them p, I had to kill them. When my friends escaped , I went with them, but was on my own. I didn't think there was another way till I met Alice." Alice skipped over to them and kissed Jasper's cheek.

"You kept me waiting long enough."

"Sorry ma'am." Katie laughed at the two.

"Looks like you had your own happy ending." Katie tells them.

"So do you. You brought Emmett back to his old ways." Alice said. "I can't wait to plan your wedding!" Katie laughed. "Have you picked out a dress yet?"

"I was waiting for you, Esme, and Rosalie to help me, but I do have a few in mind though." Katie tells her.

"Great!" Alice said as Emmett walked over to her.

"I love you."

"I love you too." Katie replied as she kissed him. This war was on everyone's mind and protecting the one thing that makes the wolves and the Cullens to get along. Katie Elizabeth Masen.
