Emmett's Melody

Baseball

Katie was excited to watch a game of baseball and she was also curious about vampires and baseball. She was sure there was something different of how they play, but none the less she was excited. "Katie! Emmett's here!" Her mother called for.

"Coming." She called back. As she reached the bottom of the stairs, she heard her dad and Emmett discussing a game of baseball. "Hey." Emmet turned and smiled as the two shared a kiss just for her father to clear his throat.

"Katie be careful and have fun. Plus I like Emmett." Her father said making Emmett and Katie smile at the approval. "Now go have fun before the storm hits."

"Oh and Katie." Her mother called out causing the two mates to stop.

"Yes."

"Have fun staying the night with Rosalie and Alice." Her mother said making Katie smile and nod.

"Now let's go to our reservation." Her father said as Emmett and her made it to the door.

"Did she really have to come?" Katie whispered to Emmett. Emmett sighed knowing she meant Bella.

"Cause she threatened my family and you. We had no other choice babe." Emmett explained. She sighed and looked at Bella who was glaring at the two. Katie knew the this so called friendship was fake and knew to watch her carefully. When they arrived, Bella was our first as Emmett climbed out. She tried to link her arm with his making him glare at her. "Back off!"

Bella glared as he went to his mate and helped her out. "But your mind Emmett!" She cried out. Emmett turned to her growling as the other Cullens looked at the obsessive girl.

"I told you that your nothing but a human. You stench is revolting, your obsessive, and last but not least are not my mate. Katie is and I love her with all my undead heart. Now back off."

Through half of the first game, Bella kept ranting on how Emmett or Edward belongs to her. There has been a couple of times where Katie almost hit Bella with a bat just to shut her up, but Esme grabbed the bat before Katie did something to kill Bella. "Stop."

Katie looked at Alice confused as Emmett was over to Katie in no time leaving Bella to be standing alone. She huffed and walked over to the Cullens and Katie.

"Emmett, what's going on?" Katie asked confused as to what is happening.

"Everything is going to be okay. I will keep you safe and sound." Emmett promised as Bella rolled her eyes. Edward read a little of Bella's mind and knew that Bella was enjoying their panic, but was jealous of them being around Katie. Rosalie wrapped her arms around arms around Edward and Bella glared.

"Alice, how much time?"

"Not long."

Katie felt Emmett wrapping his arms around her as he was scared of the events that might play out. Katie laid her head back against his chest as Jasper stood in front of her. Katie gasped as she saw red eyes and new that they drink from humans. "I believe this belongs to you." Katie guest he was the leader, but something tells her she's wrong.

"I'm Carlisle and this is my family. This is Esme, my wife, our children Edward and his mate Rosalie, Alice and her mate Jasper, and Emmett with his mate Katie."

"What about her?" The red head said pointing towards Bella.

"She's a friend of Katie's." Jasper answer quickly. The red head nodded. After introductions they wanted to play ball since it's been awhile. The wind blew before any of the vampires got the chance to play ball against one another. Bella's scent was sent to the three nomads making James smirk.

"You brought a snack." James spoke. Bella knew what that meant but Carlisle stood in front of her.

"She's with us." Carlisle stated.

"I guess the game is over." Laurent said. "James." James was watching and studying the Cullens and new this Bella girl isn't who he should be going after even though her blood smelt good to him, but when her scent was carried is when he noticed the Cullens face turn into disgust. 'It's the blonde they are more fond of. The brunette is obsess with what they are.' "James!" James straightened up and walked over to his mate and left.

"Take Katie back to our house. Rosalie can take Bella him."

"Excuse me!"

"I'll go with you baby." Edward said making Rosalie smile. Bella knew her plan was falling into place, but first she has to follow them or just wait for the red head. Katie noticed that Bella was making plan, but didn't know what it was.

"Katie!"

"Sorry!" She cried out. Emmett grabbed her hand and gave it a squeeze. "I think Bella is planning something."

"I wouldn't put past it. Now we have to protect her."

"Well at least Charlie won't lose his daughter."

"True." Was all that was said as they arrived at the house and waited for the others.
