After Jisung dropped Minho off at his appointment, Jisung went to hang out with one of his other friends, Chan.
The appointment will take pretty much all day and the people there would be taking good care of Minho so there is no point in Jisung staying.
He arrived at Chans house and went inside promptly.
"Aye mate! Wait- whats going on, you look sad?" Chan was always able to tell when anybody was having a hard time, no matter how hard they tried to hide it.
"W-what no.. im okay really?! Are you okay?! Cause im okay!" Jisung frantically replied.
Chan didn't buy it for a second. He crossed arms and cocked an eyebrow at the smaller boy.
Jisung sighed and let his guard down, knowing there was no point in lying to Chan.
"It's Minho.. I think all the changes going on in his life right now are making him feel like a burden more than usual." He told him, as he made his way into Chan's bedroom and sat on his bed.
Chan sat across from him and nodded his head, showing that he understood what Jisung was trying to say.
"But I'm sure you've told him that he's not a burden, and that we all love him." Chan replied with a reassuring smile.
"Of course I have, but I think he's realizing how much he really can't do and how much he's truly lost. You can't tell anybody this..." Jisung paused. "But... he said he wants to see me. Like the actual me.. he wants to know what I look like now rather than what we looked like when we were in preschool."
Jisung broke down crying. He sobbed into his hands and Chan wraps his arms around him. Chan rocked him back and forth whispering comforting things into his ear and telling him that he is ok and to be sure that no one is mad at him. It's all that Chan could think to say because he knew there would be no way to get Minho healed.. well.. almost no way.
" I might do it Chan."
"Do what?"
"You know what they say, if you wish with everything you have on the last and brightest star in the sky, and you truly are soulmates with the person you are wishing for, the wish will be granted." Jisung said with a small voice.
"Wait, what?" Chan said suprised. "Obviously I know about the rules of the sky but I don't think it would make anything better if.. well he isn't your soulmates. You know the consequences.." Chan paused.
"Yes ... if we aren't soulmates i'll dissapear. The thing is, I know that I would come back." Jisung said, "we wished when we were little, on the brightest star, that we would be together forever and we will always take care of each other no matter what happens." Jisung started crying again but continued his speech, "I want to do this for Minho. I want him to see. I want him to smile and see the stars again."
"Ji... is this what Minho would want though?" Chan asked, so concerned for the state of the boy before him. If he made this choice and is wrong about coming back eventually, they would all loose him forever.
"Chan, I'm positive this is what he would want in the end." Jisung assured him.

Later on Jisung went to get Minho from the appointment and got him into the car.
"Hey Minho I'm going to take you somewhere special." Jisung told him happily.
"Huh?" Minho questioned. "It's so late though."
"Yes but it's my favorite place and there is something special going on tonight." Jisung said with a big smile.
"Alright then." Minho said, he didn't mind going somewhere fun after a long boring appointment.
-
"We've arrived!" Jisung said happily.
"Where are we?" Minho asked
Jisung helped him out of the car and grabbed about five blankets from the trunk. "We are in my favorite place to stargaze and it's the meteor shower tonight. Like it?"
Minho's smile faultred slightly but he kept it up. "I'm sure it's lovely. But why would you even bring me here if I can't even see it?"
"You'll see this soon. I live on the brightest star up there. You know that?" Jisung said.
This left Minho confused, "How would that happen- I mean, how is that even possible?"
Jisung offered no response.
They both made their way to the grass and set down the blankets and faces towards the sky, just like when they were little.
The meteors started showering across the sky like tiny pieces of glitter falling from the heavens.
"Make a wish Min."
"But won't-"
"I don't know what will happen after this, but still make a wish! The stars above will grant it." Jisung exclaimed, so excited for the other boy that he might, just might, be able to see again.
"Alright! Can I make my first wish?"
Jisung grabbed his hand, signaling a yes.
"Alright."
Jisung let out a few silent tears and said under his breath, so quiet not even Minho could hear him, "I'll miss you..."
"Okay! I made my wish." Minho said happily, he knew that the rules of the sky were probably fake, and he didn't know much at al about them anyways, but he figured.. it didn't hurt to hope for the best.
The boys packed up and got back into the car. "Bring me back here next time okay?" Minho asked with a small smile.
"Of course Minnie!" Jisung said, the silent tears still flowing down his chubby cheeks.
"Pinky promise?"
"Pinky promise!"
With every wish granted there is always a consequence.
