Y/n's pov
After I spilled my story, one of the bunny kids came up to me and asked "can I give you a hug?". I nodded, and the bunny kid jumped up and wrapped his little arms around my stomach. I returned the hug, practically holding the small bunny child. Mickey cleared his throat and said "anyway, I was wondering if you guys could maybe demonstrate your skills for us, just to see where your skills are at performance wise. Aside from Cala, since we don't have the water for Cala Maria to perform in yet". Mickey then led us to a bigger tent, which Mickey called the performance tent. Cuphead was the first to perform. There were targets set up everywhere, and cuphead ran out at full speed and shot every single target, leaving a scorch mark on the bullseye of every target. Everyone stared in awe as cuphead returned to where he started with a smug look on his face as he blew out the smoke on the tip of his finger. Everyone gave a round of applause, as cuphead bowed and walked back to the side lines. Mugman was next to perform, he set up many hot pink targets and I knew exactly what he was doing. He was gonna show off his skills in parrying everything. It's become second nature for him. He jumped and parried his way up to a platform that was 10 feet off the ground. We all gave a round of applause as mugman bowed and took a seat. Boris was next, he pulled out his clarinet and started playing a really catchy tune (asgores theme from undertale). Bendy went up next with a guitar in hand, and played a fast tune (can you really call this a hotel? I didn't receive a mint in my pillow or anything from undertale (yes that is the actual name of the song)). Then it was my turn. I got a plastic cup, a table, and a headset mic. The spot light turned on and was aimed at me, and there was silence. It was my turn to perform. I collected my thoughts, remembered the lyrics of the song I was playing. I focused on the cup on the table, and began. (Play video)
As I sang, I got more and more comfortable, and confident. As I sang, a crowd began to form. I was oblivious to it though. All of my focus was on singing the song. When I finished, everyone cheered and clapped. Cup and mug even tackle hugged me, which wasn't a surprise to me since I saw them coming. It seemed even Mickey and Oswald were surprised at my singing. I blushed shyly thanking everyone as they complimented me. Once the applause and compliments were done, Mickey led us to our rooms. Cup and mug shared a room, as well as bendy and Boris. I got a room to myself. As we all got situated, Oswald's kids came in to help. After I got done unpacking and everything, another bunny child came in and asked "hey, do you know how to tune a drum?". The bunny child that was with me shrugged, and I said "uhh, I can tune a drum. Why do you ask". The bunny child said "uncle Mickey asked us to switch the drum heads for him". The bunny child grabbed my hand and led me to another room that had a bunch of percussion instruments, like marimbas, xylophones, snare drums, and bass drums. Everywhere I looked, there was something to be fixed. I was led to a snare drum with its top head barely on. A bunny child was trying to put the head in correctly with a drum tuner. I held out my hand and asked "may I try?". The bunny child handed me the tuner and hopped off the drum.
(Many hours of fixing instruments later)
I stood up, finally finished stringing the xylophones and marimbas, tuning all of the drums and organizing the mallets and sticks. I then heard Mickey yell "how's the instrument work coming kids?", one of the bunny children ran up to Mickey and said "come and see". Mickey walked in the room to see me and the bunny kids with all of the fixed instruments. A bunny kid said "we needed a bit of extra help", Mickey looked shocked. I asked "do you wanna test them, or should I test it?" Mickey asked "how did you string the keyboards?!", I said "oh that's easy, you just have to burn the ends of the string. Do it correctly and it creates a bead like tip so the string passes through the keys without ruining the string. Once I taught the bunny kids how to do it, we were done in no time". I then grabbed a pair of marimba mallets and played a few concert scales. Mickey said "I didn't know you were good with instruments", to which I said "well, just percussion instruments. I wouldn't know how to care for a brass or wind instrument. I only know this stuff because I helped performers set up their instruments while I worked at the casino, and some performers actually were nice enough to teach me how to play percussion instruments, and how to put them together, tune them, and store them". Mickey said "it would be a great help if you could help manage the percussion instruments". I shrugged and said "sure, why not". Mickey seemed to beam with excitement, but managed to keep us composure. Oswald then came into the room and said "dinners gonna be ready in a little bit bro", Mickey said "Oh ozzy! Come here you gotta see this!". Oswald walked over to his bro and asked "what is it?". Mickey said "y/n here fixed all of the percussion equipment". I said "now hold on, I didn't even touch any of the harnesses! I just fixed the instruments. Is there something wrong with the harnesses?" Mickey said "no, no, the harnesses are fine". Oswald came up to me and said "thank you for fixing the instruments. My bro here was gonna spend money on new ones at the next town. So you just saved us a couple hundred dollars". I put my hand on the back of my neck and said "well, since I'm gonna be working here and all, I figured I would help fix things up a bit". Oswald said "well, we really appreciate it. Anyway, dinner should be ready by now, let's go eat", and left for the dining room. Mickey, the bunny kids, and I all followed and we all ate our selection of food, consisting of carrot muffins, mashed potatoes, and cheese ravioli.
