-'🕷 Wade waited in complete silence for the doctor to come get him. An hour without Wade's voice echoing through the room was unsettling. Hell, an hour without Tony and Wade fighting was progress. Stark didn't know that behind closed doors, the mercenary tried to get Peter to talk to him. Steve wasn't the only one, who saw Peter every other week for breakfast at their favorite diner.
Wade was practically the " Make up with your father poster boy", because he had a bad dad. His father's idea of fun was to beat him around, to make him tough. The mercenary didn't know how to fight back until the cancer hit him, that's when he got strong. He had nothing to lose.
The cancer was all he could think about when he was in a hospital, the way it ate him alive, the way it STILL eats him alive.
Wade had this idea that, because Tony hadn't laid a finger on Peter, there had to be some good. In order to keep a husband as kind as Steve, he had to have some good.
So as he sat there, waiting patiently, he had the full intention to let Tony and Steve see their son first. Family was important, family was all Peter has ever had. That's when Aunt May came in after a long shift, still managing to smile for her little man. That's when he grew protective, like a lion guarding its cub.
May will see Peter first. Tony can go eat Steve's ass on the third floor, he didn't care. As soon as the doctor approached, Wade was on his feet, blue eyes wide.
" Good news!" The doctor boomed, happiness coated in his voice. " He's doing okay, bad news only two people at a time.."
" Aunt May."
" Excuse me?" Tony snapped, a growl coated in his lips.
" You heard me. Aunt May deserves to go first." Wade growled, his eyes never leaving the Doctor.
" She just got here! We've been waiting all day!" Anthony sounded like a child, throwing a tantrum.
" She just got here because she's been working her ass off, not everyone is a goddamn billionaire, she can't just drop her shit." Wade scoffed, looking up at Aunt May with a smile. " It's okay, Aunt May. Go see him!"
" Thank you, Wade. " May mirrored the gentle look in his face, slowly going to her feet. She was exhausted. " Steve? Would you like to come with me?"
" No, Ms.Parker. " The Solider hummed, shaking his head. " You deserve to see him on your own.."
" Thank you.."

Peter had been on a lot of Anesthesia, so he didn't wake up for hours. Wade sat beside him patiently, blue eyes staring intently. Scarred hands played with the chestnut curls, watching his peaceful sleep. Wade propped his head up with his hands, analyzing his features like he and never seen them before.
Peter's eyes felt heavy, but something was telling him to wake up. Scarred fingers against his skin coaxed him to wake, long lashes opening to reveal caramel orbs. The mercenary was silent, a smile creeping over his lips.
" Baby.." Peter rasped out, his voice crackling as he reached a hand out for the large man. A small hand cupped his scarred cheek, brown eyes filling with tears.
" They're gone, baby." Wade reached over to wipe away the tear, he was close to crying himself.
" Oh my god," Peter's voice dropped down to a whisper, unable to hold back a sob. Small hands reached up to uncover his his chest, pulling the hospital gown up. " Oh-Oh my god.."
Gentle fingertips ran over the bandages, sucking a breath of life. Peter grabbed his lovers hand, pressing his scarred palm against the flat chest. A tear ran down his cheeks, burning his skin on the way down. A smile slipped over pink lips, Wade's scarred fingers tracing over the bandages.
It was like a tiger being released from behind its cage, finally free from it's trap. Soft lips trembled, and he allowed a breath to escape his lungs. A breath he had been holding for fifteen years. Finally leaving his lips, a weight slipping from his dainty shoulders.
Wade was beaming at how happy his baby boy was, only letting out a giggle to signal his happiness. Tears welled in his blue eyes, never leaving his waterline, but visible enough for Peter to cup his cheeks.
The spider ducked down, to press a kiss against those scarred lips. They tried to keep back their smiles, but they couldn't. Wade erupted into a fit of giggles in between those soft lips. Peter's wide grin began to widen with every giggle, and soon, he was laughing like a small child who was just granted an infinite amount of candy.
" Look at You!" Wade grinned, rough hands rubbing against soft skin. " My baby boy.."
" I'm a man now!"
" You've always been a man, Peter. Always been a sweet little boy. Remember what I told you?" The mercenary hummed, biting his lip to state up at him.
" Parts don't make a man?"
" That's right, and what does?"
" Courage, Humility, and..and the will to persist."
" That's right, spider-Butt! And you have all three of those. No amount of parts can take that away from you, any more or any less.."
" Wade?"
" Yes Peter?"
" I'm in love with you.."
