The next four years were something Peter wished he could forget, even the small moments of bliss. Sophomore year started off slow, until he accepted a job for Normon Osborn. It went smoothly, and Harry even apologized for his actions. It looked like things were getting brighter, despite his Parker luck.

That was until the Green Goblin struck the city, and tragedy came soon after. All hell broke loose, civilians dead, people in Pete's personal life in danger. Unlike the villains he knew in the past, this one was different. He was insane, unhinged, his goal was power and fear. Everytime the Spider-Man thought he had him, he slipped from his his grip like sand leaking from the cracks in his fingers.

And just when Pete thought Harry was getting better? He got aggressive. Too aggressive. Wade went on long missions far away to make a little money, making the stress stir violently inside of him. Peter missed him when he was gone, and he always came back bloody. The fear that one day Wade's mutation would just, poor, disappear was high in his highschool years. The mercenary promised, however, it would calm down as soon as Peter got into college.

Peter didn't tell Wade about any of the stuff going on, not wanting to worry him. Drastically, Pete started to break and the world started crumbling down. Sophomore year passed through the season's quickly, and junior year was a ride. Not the fun ones at Disney, but the kind that you get on, and as soon as you get strapped in you want to get off. But you can't, you suffer the whole ride alone, and kicking, tears fresh in big brown eyes.

Aunt May got sick that year, it was her heart. Wade came home to care for her for long periods of time before he left his baby alone again. She had that look in her eyes, the same sad, lonely look she gave when Uncle Ben passed away. It was almost like she had no more hope left, all the life in her running dry. It was because of Spider-Man, Peter told her reluctantly, and the dangers that bubbled inside her head were hard to suppress.

Deep down she knew it was him, but being confronted was like something she couldn't grasp at. Peter visited everyday after school, and when a pumpkin arrived at his door from the Green Goblin to Peter Parker..Things only got worse. Parker luck, huh?

Gwen was pushed off a large building, and though Peter grasped for her, his webs, his hands..they were too late. Everything inside of him was stirring and life was weighing down on him like Atlas carrying the world on his shoulders.

Wade eventually saw it, but not until Senior year when the Spider was thinking about dropping out. That fight was the worst, and they both said things they shouldn't have. Peter for the first time slept on the couch and, he'd never make that mistake again. He pushed through senior year, through all of the flames, through the Osborn's torment.

All of this was too much. When Wade left again, this time for Russia, Peter had had enough. His body gave out and he spilled into hibernation. No warning, no one to card for him. Just cold and dead to the world, collapsed on the floor and forgotten.

Thor and Bruce had come back from Hawaii and tried to contact Wade desperately. It was all a mess, and when the Merc waited for his Petey-Pie to wake up, the voices had never been louder. They screamed for him, drove him into madness..They craved an antidote to the pain, but it wasn't waking up.

Wilson settled for bullets until Peter woke up, and he eventually had to start senior hear all over again..all over again..

//This is very short, I know! But I had to do a set up for book two! Don't worry, everyone is okay, no character development will be erased, just thought I'd kick that Parker luck into gear.
