Peter splashed the cold water over his face, forcing in deep breaths. His lips shook through quiet whimpers, and he hated this feeling. The spider was trying to calm himself and wake something up from deep inside of him all at once. There was a pit in his stomach, something burning from the inside. His hand slipped up his abdomen to rest over his chest, feeling through a beating heart.

The door swung open, and Peter fought to push teary eyes up to gaze through the mirror. His caramel orbs fixated on a familiar face. As he trembled, he sucked in a large breath trying to push all of this down. His dad moved forward, his tears burning with fresh tears as well. Blue eyes watched over him, resting a large hand on his shoulder.

" Pop," Pete whispered. He moved toward Steve's touch a calm slipping over the chaos.

" Baby boy!" His arms wrapped around his son tightly, holding onto him with a large smile. The tears threatened to spill from his waterline as he clung to the small boy. Steve hadn't seen his son in so long, too long. He was suffering from Tony's mistakes. " I've missed you so much!"

" I missed you too pop, so bad." Peter was still trying to work through his tears, hands clinging to cap's touch. He felt like Steve was always there to magically heal any sign of sadness within his son. It was like he could sense it..

" Why are you crying? Was it Wade?" The blonde asked so softly, wiping away his tears with a frown. His big blue eyes were filled with worry, his touch so maternal even when he wasn't trying.

" No pop, Wade wouldn't hurt me." The spider couldn't help but lean into the familiar grasp, a hand falling over his wrist. " I was thinking about you and dad."

" Oh."

The way Steve looked away sent a chill down his childs spine, big brown eyes finally meeting teary eyes. He looked so tired, even his perfect posture was broken deep inside of himself. Peter opened his mouth to say something but he had nothing, only a buzzing in his head. Were his parents going to separate? Was that love that filled his ocean blue eyes gone because of Tony? Was he really..That broken?

" What is it pop?" Peter whispered, reaching up for callused palms to hover over his cheeks. His fingers pushed up into dirty blonde hair, slipping through soft, thick locks. He didn't know how to comfort his father, because he had never seen him broken. Tony broke every week, but Steve? Steve.. " Dad.."

" It's nothing sweetie, don't you worry. Everything is going to be okay, your father and I are going to be just fine." His grinned past the storm circling behind his frowning face. It shattered Peter's heart and caused him to spit out a groan. " I'll fix this, It's going to be okay."

" What is going to be okay? What happened?" Every word of reassurance only made him feel worse, it caused his brain to circle, every possibility crumbling inside of his head. All of this was wrong, all of it was wrong.

" Your father is cheating on me," Steve whispered so softly his son could barely hear it. As soon as it left his lips, tears blurred in front of unsuspecting orbs. It was almost like he didn't believe it himself. " But I'm going to power through, we'll fix this."

" No, papa! He doesn't deserve you!" Peter's voice was a harsh hiss. As much as he didn't want them to leave each other, he couldn't watch Tony slowly rip him to shreds. " Look at yourself, look at what he's doing to you! He said-He said Wade would hurt me, but the only one who hurts me is him!"

" I love him Peter.."

" Who is he cheating on you with?"

" Stephen Strange.."

The name forced him to stagger back, nearly tripping on his own feet. Peter shook his head, Strange had been with Uncle Loki the night he woke up. Teeth clamped down on his bottom lip to keep it from shaking.

" No."

" He just told me, baby." Steve sighed, reaching up to wipe away his tears. He wished he wasn't the level-headed one, that he was the fragile bomb Tony was, ready to explode. The blonde tried to calm the shaking that rolled through his large body, he didn't mean to, he didn't want to be this scared. " But it's okay.."

" IT'S NOT OKAY!"

Peter sat back down in his seat across from Wade, soft cheeks still fresh with tears. The merc looked worried as he reached over to push a curl behind his ear. He wouldn't press his love to say anything he didn't want to, but he was so worried.

" I'll tell you after dinner, I just want to be here with you." Peter smiled softly, reaching up to grasp at his hand, giving it a loving squeeze. " Just here with you.."

" Anything for you, my love. Anything for you."

The mercenary watched as Peter started to slowly cheer up throughout the dinner. Wade hadn't had sushi, so trying it was a roller-coaster of emotions but he thought it was okay. He wanted some pizza after this though. Also, what kind of place didn't serve soda?

Peter reached for the check, only for his love to snatch it away from his hands. The merc paid for all of the food, and gave the waiter a very good night. Wade stood up, and scooped his future husband into large arms, carrying him out of the fancy restaraunts. The night looked so beautiful, even from the busy New York streets they could see the scars scattered along the night sky. The moon seemed larger tonight, slightly yellowed and so full. It was like magic.

The small boy let out a sigh, grasping at the large man below him. How did he deserve the most amazing man in the world? Wade had his problems, sure, but he was the best thing that ever happened to him. He wasn't perfect, but neither was Peter.

Cold lips pressed against the nape of his scarred neck, and Pete let out a tired sigh. His grasp forever tightened as they walked, never wanting to let go, craving the closeness. What if Wade wanted to leave him? What if he became his father and Wade resented it for him? He couldn't live with himself..
