-'🕷 during the end of their flight back to New York, Tony's eye had caught the promise ring. It sparked a fight between Peter and his father, a loud, aggressive fight that ended with a string of "I hate you's" and unleashing years of bottled up anger. Peter had become a crying, yelling mess, his mind a blurry cloud. He screamed and wailed whatever came into hi head to retaliate Tony's barks of aggression.

Wade tried to calm his baby down, to get in the middle and split things up. Things only got worse from there. Tony tore down Wade's self-esteem and had him questioning why Peter would ever love a disgusting perv like him. That when the throwing started.

When Steve intervened, it calmed them both down just enough. They exchanged harsh words after long pauses of silence.

Once they landed, Wade scooped his small boy up into large comforting arms, carrying him to the busy streets to find a cab.

It took awhile for Peter to stop shaking, and finally stand on his own to feet. The harsh exchange had crushed the small boys spirit, forced his eyes into a burning mess of tears.

Once they got to their cab, Wade sent a text to Steve, kindly asking to deliver their stuff to him and Wade's apartment. As soon as Peter met the leather seats, he was cuddled up to his lover, fast asleep.

It was going to be okay. Everything was going to be okay. Just like he promised.

The spider followed behind his lover sleepily, as Wade moved slowly up the stairs.

[ We can't insure that everything is perfect, all the time. We aren't a fucking magician.]

[ But we can make sure hes OKAY. that things are at least OKAY. ]

[ No. We can't. What's going to happen when things go wrong? What happens when something bad happens? What if it just gets worse from there.]

[ Can't you just be happy for once? We have him, he's our future. Why can't you just shut the hell up?!]

[ I-]

[ No! I love him! WE love him! And all we can do is love him, so just..just let us love him..]

Wade's eyes slipped down to Peter, who was waiting patiently for the mercenary to open the door. Blue eyes met tired ones, a scarred thumb pressing against his chin, stating lovingly down at him. Peter pushed a soft breath through his lungs, leaning into the scarred touch.

They stood there for a long pause, before Deadpool went back to the locked doors. He fiddled with the key in the lock, shaking it carefully, it gets stuck a lot. The door creaked open, to reveal their apartment. The small boy slipped through the doorway, slumping over to the couch.

Peter stood there for a long pause, before the weight of the world finally took over him allowing his tired body to collapse onto the soft cushion. Fingertips traced invisible circles into the leather, and his soft brown eyes fell shut. Wade inched closer to him, meeting the small spider on the couch. He leaned down, to kiss the wild set of curls.

" I'm sorry, baby boy.."

" Its not your fault, Wade. I love you. He could never pull me away from you. I love you.."

" After all this time?"

" Always. "

A smile replaced his sad expression, and he let out a hum. Warm hands rubbed from his lower back, up to his shoulder blade and back down again.

" Wade?"

" Yes Peter?"

" Thank you.."

" You're welcome. "

Wade wasn't sure what he was being thanked for, but he wasn't going to argue with his pretty little boy.

" Peter?" Wade whispered through the silent, cold New York air. Warm hands pressed against the smaller back, chin meeting his dainty shoulder.

" Mmm..?"

" Are you awake?"

" No."

" But I'm ready now.." Those four words caused Peter's brown eyes to shoot open.

The small boy quickly turned to meet Wade's gaze, had he been up all night? The mercenary leaned over Peter in the bed they shared, and turned on the light. It was dim, not too bright, not wanting to hurt Peter's precious eyes.

Peter sat up, Wade following eagerly. They were across from each other, the smaller of the two staring intently.

" First I need you to promise me something." Wade whispered softly, blue eyes narrowing. He was in his head, too worried to let it all out at once but so eager to let the words slip from his lips. " If you do want to leave me after this, at least stay until morning."

" I'm not going to leave you."

" Just promise. Please, just promise."

" Okay, I promise. I'll stay at least until morning, If I leave which I WONT."

There was a long pause, silence clouding the air. A rare silence that unsettled Peter's stomach. He reached up, to encouragingly cup his textured cheek.

" I um..well, okay. I'm not talking to myself. I don't remember when they came into my head, when I started talking to people..But I have these voices, well boxes? I don't just hear them, I see there words like subtitles in a movie. That might make me insane, it might make you uncomfortable but-"

" What are their names?"

" what?"

" The people you talk to, what are their names? What are they like?"

" well..um..Yellow is an asshole, and a white is also an asshole." Wade hummed, there was something odd in his eyes. It wasn't pity, like the look wolverine would give him. It was..he didn't know what that was.

" Yeah?" He hummed, thumb rubbing over his harp jawline, eyes analyzing his features. " Tell me about them."

" Yellow didn't want me to tell you about him, he's mean. He tells us you want to leave us, that you think we're ugly. That you hate us. He's harsh, mean, the reason why I've hurt myself so many times.." Wade trailed off, he didn't know why he was letting all this slip out. He needed to put it all in, swallow it and bottle it back up inside.

" And White?"

" White is imaginative, he likes you. A hopeless romantic, and mind of a perv." Wade leaned lovingly into the smaller boys touch, blue eyes analyzing his expression.

" So that's who you're always talking to?" Peter smiled, leaning up to press his forehead against Wade's. " You're right."

" About what?"

" They sound like assholes." Peter hummed, offering a cheeky smile.

Peter's words cheered him up, Peter wasn't going to leave him. Peter loved him, them.

" And Wade?"

" What?"

" I'm never going to leave you, but if we don't go to sleep im going to be VERY grumpy."

Wade let out a chuckle, laying back down. The Arachnid laid down, the large man's arms finding his small body. He leaned up, to press a kiss against Wade's lips. And they got ready to go back to sleep.

Yeah, Wade could get used to this. Falling asleep next to Peter, and waking up beside him in the morning. He wished they would stay like this forever. Hopefully they would.
