I woke up to the sound of my deafening alarm. As I rolled out of bed, I heard Caleb singing his usual Britney spears playlist. It was good to be home, mum was happier than ever. I would've been the happiest but, I still missed Mr Cohen. I had English that day. I got out of the house and left for school, I saw Bailey on the way and he asked me about me and Shawn. He couldn't believe that we wasn't together anymore. I didn't want to make it sound like Bailey's fault because I had my mistakes too, I couldn't keep my eyes off Shawn which must of been a massive way to expose us, I spent most of my time with a teacher, but if I had just hidden that note a bit better when Bailey gave it to me, maybe me and Shawn would still be together. I went to class early to talk to Shawn. I burst through the door to see a female teacher, "Hello, How can I help you?" I looked at the door to double check I was at the right room, yea I was, room number 2.14. "Is Mr Cohen in at all today miss?" She went over to her laptop to check the sign in reports. "No sorry, Mr Cohen has took a sick leave, he should be back in my next week, anything I could help you with." I shook my head as I left the room. I knew why he had left.

I asked Bailey to cover for me as I went round to Shawn's apartment, I knocked on the door three times, "Shawn, open up its me, Layla!" I knew he was inside because I could hear the TV. "Shawn, please, I know your in there." I heard the keys in the lock slowly turn, the door flew open as a small breeze of cologne wafted past me. Oh how I missed him. I looked up into his eyes, to see he was looking down into mine. The flood of memories had made my eyes fill up with water. "Layla... Come in," I went in and wiped my eyes. Shawn lived alone so I knew no one would be in the apartment with him. I wrapped my arms around him "Shawn, I came to thank you for helping me find Caleb, you put your life at risk for my brother, my mum told me to come say thank you too." He smiled, "Layla, it's honestly nothing, I wouldn't let you risk your life on the other side of town without me going to protect you." By this point we were standing very closely next to each other. I stood on my tiptoes and gave him a small peck on his cheek, his cheeks had become rosy apples. I went to go out of the door, when I felt him grab my hand and pull me back towards him. His chest pressed against mine. Like nothing had changed between us.

"Layla, I think we could give this another chance, you know, me and you. This time only Bailey can know until we both decide to tell someone." I smiled so big I forgot that I was missing school. He grabbed me by the waist and lifted me up to kiss me. I giggled. "Oh shit!" Shawn looked at me scared "Did I hurt you?" I shook my head "I forgot I am supposed to be in school." Shawn grabbed his keys from the table, "Come on, I'll drive you." I only accepted because everyone would've been in class, meaning they wouldn't have seen me or Shawn.

We arrived at school and I gave Shawn a kiss on his cheek as I left his black car. "I'll pick you up after school ok." I smiled. "Shawn, It's ok I have to pick up Caleb." He nodded "Be good kiddo." We both laughed, I closed the car door and ran into school. I watched Shawn's car leave and I waved goodbye before getting through the school doors. I ran through just in time for third period. I sat down next to Bailey and told him everything. "I'm so jealous of your love life, like you can score a sexy teacher and I cant even score Dillon." I watched Bailey's eyes dart across the room to Dillon "Hey watch out, you don't want him to find out do you." We both laughed. Life really did seem to be looking up. My classes were actually ok for once. No bullying, no name calling, everyone was being so nice.

After school, I headed to the old primary school and picked Caleb up. He ran over to me and gave me a hug. "What a surprise, I thought Mum was picking me up!" We walked home and he talked about his day. "So today, I played football and I got picked to be captain and the football coach came out and he asked me to be in the football team and I said yes so tomorrow I'm going to a meeting and they said they might pick me for their next game!" I was wowed, maybe he would be someone big one day "High five!" I put up my hand and he high fived it. "We can go play football later on the old cricket pitch later if you want!" He nodded and looked really excited "Then I can practice my football skills!" When we got home Caleb ran upstairs to get his football kit on, I told Mum I was going to take Caleb to the old cricket pitch. I went upstairs and put on a sports top and some leggings, I didn't particularly liked football but I knew Caleb loved it so I took him to go play. As we were on the way we stopped by the shop and I bought us both a drink, he was really happy about how much I was being nice to him, I did nearly loose him for good, I never wanted that to happen again.

We got to the cricket pitch and I realised how good Caleb actually was at playing football. "Caleb," He looked over to me, "I'm going to take a break, my legs are killing!" I laughed "Why don't you practice shooting into the goal, that way you can get stronger with your legs. I sat down and got my phone out to text Shawn. *Me: Hey, I know I don't normally just text you but I'm really bored xx* To my surprise my phone lit up right away, *Shawn: Hey, I would take you out somewhere but nobody really knows so we cant... xxx* I sighed, I kind of wished that we didn't have to be secretive.
