Jaden was in the school's library researching on the topic, the teacher had given him and his partner but his partner abandoned him and left him to do the work alone with the excuse, I am sick please can you please do it on your own for today. Hereafter we both will work on it together. That's what he said. Jaden did not mind it cause he didn't like his partner either. The guy would just be a nuisance either way.

Jaden was browsing the internet on his laptop minding his own business. Two girls sitting some seats away from him saw him and started bad-mouthing him.

Girl 1:
"Hey look it's that guy. "

Girl 2:
"Oh my god isn't that the loner of the school who pissed off Marceline."

Girl 1:
"Also did you hear Emilio's dawgs were searching for him. And just after that Emilio was last seen in the infirmary."

Girl 2:
"Yeah, He also scared a teacher like this dude, he is a trouble maker. You should stay away from him like I heard he is involved in dealing and stuff and I heard he is a man whore ."

Girl 1:
"Hey, he is looking at us."

Girl 2:
"Oh crap!"

Jaden:
"Can you guys just go out and talk? You're disturbing me. If you don't have any other work rather than gossiping. Then please go from here."

Jaden glared at them. The girl booked it out of there. Jaden was already pissed.

So these types of people we're spreading the rumors but.

Jaden's POV

Man whore the heck is wrong with these people...I may not be rich and not have enough money but that doesn't mean I whore around to get money. You know what I don't give a shit. I work my ass off trying to live. These bitches ain't feeding me to taunt me freely. Next time I hear any shit like this. They are going to get it. I continued the research peacefully when suddenly someone covered my eyes.

Jaden:
"What the-"

I panicked and slapped the hand away and jumped out of my seat.

Jaden:
"C-Cassandra?"

Cassandra:
"Sorry, I shouldn't have done that. Did I scare you?"

Jaden:
"Yeah, I am sorry too are you hurt?"

Cassandra:
"No, I am fine...by the way, I wanted to ask you something. Can I?

Jaden:
"Go on."

Cassandra:
"Can you hang out with me after school? I know you don't know me that well but please don't say no... pretty please please."

She begged me. I couldn't trust her, cause I have met her once or twice and I don't know her very well but... She is so kind to me and she seems to be a good girl and she spoke to me like a normal person not like those other girls...so for this once I will think about it.

Jaden:
"Well okay but I will be out before seven I have a job so..."

Cassandra:
"That's fine! Meet me after school near the front gate. I have to go now bye!"

She gives me a big smile and walks away. She seems to be very happy for some reason but I don't understand why...

Few hours passed by and the final bell rang and the students exited the class. Jaden made his way to the gate and waited for Cassandra.

After a few minutes, he could see the petite girl making her way towards him. She was panting heavily

Cassandra:
"Sorry, I couldn't make it here on time. I got busy, leave that and Let's go."

Jaden:
"Yeah."

They enter the car Cassandra sat in the front and told Jaden to sit in the back. The car was pretty comfortable. The smell of flowers coming from the air freshener was amazing. The car honestly looked very expressive and grand.

Jaden felt bad that Cassandra was the one always starting a conversation so this time he decided to do it first today.

Jaden:
"Do you know how to drive?"

Cassandra got surprised at the sudden question.

Cassandra:
"No, I forgot to tell you that my brother will be driving us back home. Are you okay with that?"

Jaden:
"I didn't know you had a brother but it's okay I guess."

The moment she said that he heard the front car door open.

Cassandra:
"Speak of the devil and he is here."

Jaden turns to look at him and his blood runs cold.

Jaden:
"This guy... is your brother...?"

Cassandra:
"Yes, isn't he charming?"

The guy who enters gives Jaden a big smile.

"So long apple pie."
