Jaden's POV

I still can't believe that Eric was the first friend... How could he recognize me after so long?

Now that I think about it when we first met in the park he knew my name even though I never told him...

I don't know why I couldn't remember him clearly...but when I think about my childhood I don't seem to have many memories. It feels like my past never existed...All I can remember is my mother... like heck, I don't even remember how my dad was in the past...Thinking of him makes me sick. I hate him...

Eric:
"Is something wrong, you look out of it..."

Eric's voice brings me back to the present from, my thoughts he looked at me with concern filled in his eyes. I just nod. I didn't know what to say...He was acting so nice...I thought he was a bad person but he doesn't seem that bad... I was too quick to judge him... just because a few people who have something bad to say about him...I am no different from those girls in the library... Judging other people without even knowing them.

Mrs. Margret:
"Hey, lovelies do you want anything else?"

She interrupted my thoughts this time.

Eric:
"Oh, yeah I do and you don't mind us being here for a few hours right?"

Mrs. Margret:
"Of course not! Stay as long as you want. Your presence is attracting a lot of customers to our shop."

Eric:
"I am so glad to know that I can help in a way, pretty lady."

Eric gave her a charming smile. I swear, I heard her squeal and giggling in embarrassment. I couldn't help but cringe at the way Eric was trying to flirt with a 40-year-old lady.

Mrs. Margret:
"Oh my, I am flattered to hear that. By the way, are you single? The female customers seemed to be interested in you. They were asking me about your number."

Eric:
"Currently I have my heart set on someone so I don't intend to get with anyone else."

He said to her as he stared at me with lovey-dovey eyes. Grinning as he blushed.

Mrs.Magret:
"Oh, that person would be very lucky to have a man like you."

He keeps staring at me with hungry eyes.

Eric:
"I think I would be the luckiest if I got them. Just waiting for them to give me an answer."

Mrs. Margret:
"Don't worry young man I guarantee you that no one would be able to resist you."

Eric:
"Well, they are an exception but am not gonna give up easily."

He winks.

Mrs. Margret:
"That's the spirit! Now boys place your order I gotta attend other customers too."

She said cheerfully. Eric gave her a huge list of orders. And I couldn't understand why he was ordering so much.

Jaden:
"Who is going to eat all this...Why are you ordering so much?"

Eric:
"Since I don't know your taste, I just ordered everything so you can pick whatever you like."

Jaden:
"You could have just asked. You didn't need to waste so much money."

Eric:
"Money doesn't matter to me. I'll do anything for the person I love."

At the last word, I felt goosebumps crawl on my skin.' Love' I couldn't understand how it feels to love someone...but it felt so...nice to know that someone other than my mom loved me... but I didn't know how to return that love back to him...should I maybe try to...no no-no, what am I even thinking? He deserves someone better than me cause all, I do is act like an asshole and hurt his feelings and plus... am a guy I am not anything like the girls he has dated. I don't think I am fit for him... I can't reach his standard...like I don't have anything to give him, I am poor, I am the most boring and gloomy person you could find in the school, and on the other hand, he is the most popular guy in the school and I am nothing compared to him... Do I even deserve to have him as a friend...The thought saddens me.
