"Garnet! I'm home!" Jade called to her girlfriend. Garnet's temple door suddenly opened and she smiled. "Jade! I'm so glad you're back!" Garnet walked over to her girlfriend and hugged her.
"What were you in Empire City for, anyway?"
"It's actually a secret. Please don't use your future vision to figure it out, though."
"I won't, I promise. So, what was Empire City like?" Jade laughed. "It's actually a lot like Homeworld- bright, busy, loud. It made me miss Homeworld a little, but Steven helped me forget about that place." Steven and Jade smiled at each other. "I'm glad you were happy. Although, I did really miss you." Jade jumped up to give Garnet a kiss on the cheek. "I missed you too, Garnet." The couple smiled at each other. "Ooh! Jade went swimming for the first time!"
"Really now?" Jade nodded. "Yep! Steven even taught me how to go down a slide!"
"That's great. The last time I went swimming, was to find Malachite. Although, I can swim in lava." Jade looked at Garnet, surprised. "You can?" Garnet nodded. "Yes. One of my components is a Ruby, after all."
"Heh, true. Oh! Steven and I had an important conversation last night." Steven nodded in agreement. "We talked about Bismuth." Now it was Garnet's turn to be shocked. "You might wanna sit down." Garnet sat down on the couch, Jade and Steven sitting on either side of her.
"I was telling Steven about the war, and I mentioned the fact that I was almost shattered by a Bismuth. Then he asked me to describe the Bismuth, so I showed him a projection of her. She was the same Gem who tried to shatter Steven. Your Bismuth."
"I had no idea you were nearly shattered... I'm glad it didn't happen, though."
"Me too. 'Cause if I had been shattered, I never would've met you, Garnet. I'm so glad I met Ruby and Sapphire." Garnet blushed. "They're glad they met you, too. By the way, did Steven tell you where Bismuth is now?"
"Yeah, he told me she was bubbled in the Burning Room." Garnet took off her shades. "Good. I don't know if we can release her anytime soon. She could try to hurt Steven again, and we promised Rose we would protect him from any danger."
"You're right. Sure, I wasn't there when you made that promise, but I wanna keep him safe, too." Steven smiled at Garnet and Jade. "Thanks, guys. That's nice of you."
"No problem, Steven. Oh, and can you thank your dad for me? Again?" Steven laughed.
"Sure. I'll tell him again. Although, he knows you appreciate him taking you to Empire City."
"Good. I hope he knows he didn't have to do that for me."
