"My Diamond, we have urgent news regarding Pink Diamond's colony."
"What is it?"
"A rogue Rose Quartz is disrupting the Gems living on the planet and she's supposedly very dangerous," Yellow Pearl explained. "There also appears to be a defective Pearl with her."
"Why in the world would she have rebelled against her Diamond? Never mind, she must be Off-Color. I'll send a Hackmanite to investigate this development." Yellow Diamond input a code on the computer screen in front of her and told an Agate to send one of the Gems she commanded to the planet in question. "Let's hope that Quartz hasn't caused much damage to the progress of the colony. Pink had better not make me regret agreeing to give her a colony..." Yellow said and pinched the bridge of her nose. "Get back to work, you two. We can't fall behind on our schedule." Jade and Yellow Pearl saluted their leader and returned to their posts.
The two of them were on-edge for the rest of the day, but tried to block the worrisome thoughts out of their heads and focus on their work. "That Quartz had better be rejuvenated sometime soon. Or better yet, shattered and harvested," Yellow Pearl said to her friend. Jade nodded but didn't say anything. She instead repeatedly checked up on one of Yellow Diamond's asteroid mines. "You're being awfully quiet, Jade. What's the matter?" Yellow Pearl asked.
"I don't know, Pearl. I'm just worried, I guess. I know the Hackmanite Yellow Diamond sent is gonna figure out what's happening on Earth, but I can't help but feel like something else is gonna happen with that rebellion..."
"Jade, the Fire Agate on the Yellow Aragonite colony sent her best Hackmanite to the planet. She'll investigate it, the rebels will be shattered, and everything will go back to normal. You can't let a few unruly Gems on a different Diamond's planet get to you so much." Yellow Pearl gave Jade a reassuring smile, trying to cheer up her friend. "Yeah, you're right. I don't know what I was so worried about. Let's get back to work," Jade said and smiled back. Little did they know, this was only the beginning of a devastating event, that would leave countless Gems shattered.
