Rin threw some logs of wood onto the already crackling fire. You sat with your knees huddled up to your chest. Resting your chin on the caps, Sesshomaru leaned against a tree eyes focused on the spitting fire.
"Rin back away from the fire."
The little girl obeyed, Jaken cosied up closer to the source of heat. "How did it get so cold?" You complained.
The dog spoke, "what the fire is not warming you?" His gaze now on you.
You gave a brief nod still quite wary of him. Sesshomaru lifted himself from the tree a bit. Snapping huge branches and propping them on top of each other.
You watched on with a raised brow.
Finally happy with the branches positioned the way he wanted. He lay against them and looked at you.
"What?"
He only said, "come."
You shook your head huddling yourself in more. You noticed he had a defeated glint in his eyes.
You sighed, standing up and slowly sitting in his lap. He snaked his arms around your waist pulling you in quick.
"Whoa!"
Your cheek now rested right on his hard, muscled chest. To make yourself more comfortable you wrapped your own arms around him. A light blush dusting your skin.
He saw and huffed a laugh, "going red are you?"
You mumbled an insult, "what did you say?"
"Nothing."
"(Y/n)."
Your name on his tongue sent shivers through your spine. "I said you're idiot."
He grinned into your hair, "I hope in time I'm your idiot..."

Sango played with Kirara while Kagome still sat down in the dumps.
Inuyasha groaned, "omg if your that sad about it then why don't we go and save her!"
"We can't Inuyasha!"
"Why not??"
She plopped to the floor, "because their meant to be and we can't break that."
Inuyasha folded his arms, "its hard to believe that Sesshomaru would have a destined mate! I wish I had one..."
Kagome smiled she was his mate but apparently it just hadn't registered yet. "Who would you like it to be Inuyasha?" She asked merrily.
His ears twitched a bit, "Kikyo."
Kagome's heart shattered, she raised herself from the floor with a solemn expression.
"Kagome?"
She held back tears, "Kikyo huh?"
He nodded.
"You want a dead woman!"
She yelled at him, fists clenched features furious. He whined, "I'm sorry?!"
She stomped her foot, "lying, cheating mutt!"
We all know the 2 words she uttered.

He groggily looked at you, "hm?"
"Why did you kiss me?!"
"It was only your cheek."
"I don't care WHERE it was I want to know WHY?!"
Sesshomaru picked himself off the ground, "I thought we were at least to that point."
You were speechless.
"What do you mean by that point?" The urge to punch him came.
He gave you a bored expression, "a kiss."
The urge deflated, "oh...ok."
Sesshomaru put his face near yours a sly smirk streched on his lips. "What did you think I meant?"
You averted your gaze, "nothing."
He scoffed, "you mortals are all the same."
He trodded off.
You could have sworn he sounded sad, but why would he be? You knew it wasn't because you had assumed he meant sex. Otherwise he would have gotten angry not seemed sad.
